Hey! I'm trying to write a novel. So... could you please vote for a story idea here?

I really like your rating style, almost same with me: only watch those anime you really enjoy. Who the heck completed an anime show just for a crappy rate like 4,5 ?
Deactivated101 Oct 23, 2011 6:08 AM
Which is better, Angel Beats or Haibane Renmei?

Hey, don't worry about it lol, MAL wouldn't let me post on anyone's profile till like a week ago for some reason, which is the reason for the (can it still be called late?)....delayed reply haha.
I'll have to check hyyako out, it seems like i'd be enjoyable.

A side note but your the first person I've noticed that actually has a compatibility with me with manga, even though it is only 50%. I've always thought that was broken, but I guess not. Just almost broken haha.

I agree. Some people get worked up over the weirdest of things online, and the most widespread reason seems to be "because they can". They wouldn't dare act like that irl.

Bartender's a really good, relaxing show - so much so that I felt too relaxed to watch past episode 5 lol. One thing I greatly liked about it is that the side character's emotions and situations were all fleshed out neatly. They were all just regular everyday folks in need of a Martini Terrazza and a pat on the back. Also, the Bartender himself came off as an incredibly elusive individual who seems to appear when there's someone in need of him and then disappears right after his deed is done, leaving the story to resolve without him. Sort of like Mushishi- no, it's exactly like Mushishi.

No, why would I be offended? The only way I'd be offended is if someone came to my house and jabbed my knickers. I was just wondering if I should start watching DRRR, since the premise sounded mighty interesting and I liked Baccano. People keep saying there's a mysterious atmosphere around the show, not to mention the headless chick in black looked cool as hell.

I have this unnatural fetish for tv shows and movies with strong focus on the practical aspects of restaurant management and cooking. Bartender is a really good anime that comes close to that description, only that it's about a bar instead of a restaurant and a bartender instead of a chef. I'd be celebrating now if Working was a more realistic show with more inside-the-restaurant-action (whatever that may be) and some semi-serious undertones. But that's just me dreaming. I can't say I didn't enjoy Ichigo Mashimaro or K-on either.

Oh, Angel beats was like that? It looked like another one em cutesy kyo-ani shows to me. I never would've guessed. These recent trend in school themed anime are really misleading.

Heh, another late responce from me. Damn the earth for being round.

That's very informative of you, and I have to say you've watched a ton of shows. That's almost the entire season right there!

It's disappointing to hear that Working! was just another moe anime. I have a thing for restaurants you see, so my expectations were high for a show that sported restaurants as it's main theme. I guess Japan really can't deliver worthwhile stuff now.

According to you, Angel beats! managed to live up to it's hype eh? Maybe I'll watch that in the near future when my Key overload cools down a bit.

Wasn't Durarara!! from last season?
teanut Jul 10, 2010 7:54 AM
Yeah, the narration and comedy pretty much did it in for me. I'm a big fan of Yusuke Nakamura, the character designer you see, and I've been waiting for his designs to be used in an anime for a long time. It wasn't as classy as I thought it would be, and the director being Yuasa didn't help much either... but it worked and did it's thing, that's all that matters, I guess.

YST was the only anime I watched from this passing season, so it's my favourite by default. What were the strong contenders?
teanut Jul 9, 2010 8:04 PM
Yeah yeah, they're incredibly annoying, and a large majority of them are kids and/or retards without fail.

I like you're approach to reviews. They're fun to read, honest, and to the point. A bit too much use of cursing though.

Thanks! Your favorite anime/manga/character list is great as well (well the entries I know at least haha). Although I"ve never heard of Hyakko...is it any good? What's your thoughts on it?

On a side note I watched the amv you made. It was great! The song choice was interesting though, wasn't that used for the world cup? Still.... I liked it a lot!

agrees with kevin. It was an awesome review. I agree with you 100%. It's an excellent anime. I would have gave it a ten myself if it wasn't for the fact I only give out one 10 overall.
