Don't worry about it, that's perfectly fine with me! I understand that people can be busy IRL, and it's not like I've been all that active either (the new semester just started up again).

Ah, makes sense! Movies are something I'd like to focus more, since I've worked up a decent backlog there (mostly stuff that's at the very least 15 years old or so), but never quite find the motivation for it. As far as music goes, I'm not really bothering to keep up too much with it, but then again I'm mostly focusing on soundtracks in the first place, so it's not like I have all that much to talk about in that direction to begin with. Congrats on getting the go ahead though, reading that made me grin like an idiot. I like seeing how nice stuff happens to people.
Heh, perhaps as a little side note - actually came out to the first person (best friend) only a few hours after the last time we talked. Figured... "Oh hell, why not go for it after all?". And thankfully worked out as well as it possibly could. I guess talking a bit back then contributed at least a little? Probably was more of a heat of the moment decision, though.

Since last time, I actually ended up reading The Bride Was A Boy, and I ended up pretty much loving it. Extended favorites, even. Very much agree on the essential read part - it's cute as hell, very charming, but also educational. Went as far as to preorder the English release that comes out next month. K-ON I'm probably going to continue this weekend, as some time has finally freed up on my schedule now. And after that... hm, the next priority would probably be Gankutsuou after that. Since I kind of want to take a peek at the few other good anime by Gonzo. They don't have much that really is considered good, but for the few I've watched that are considered to be their better works, I definitely have to agree, so I'm looking forward to it. I've seen pictures of the anime, and can definitely agree that the aesthetic is a big part of what makes it intriguing to me.

Seeing that comment about 20CB making for a good television series actually reminded me that there are three live-action movies for it that I completely forgot about, but wanted to watch at some point. From what I heard, the first movie is even a pretty good adaption of the parts it covers, it's only the other two that rush the story to some degree. Even more stuff in my backlog, haha.

I wouldn't necessarily say 'in need of', since I've met some pretty amazing people online in the three years since I've realized it, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like more people like me to talk with. But yeah, fellow trans girl. Though admittedly still standing on the starting line as far as it goes IRL. '^^

Oh, and I wouldn't worry about that, I've seen all kinds of scoring criteria already. Even for those who are a bit more lax, I usually can find some pretty good titles. From your favorites in particular, Gankutsuou, Princess Tutu, Ryushika Ryushika (because I'm a big fan of ABe) and My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness. Though I already have that last one in my shelf, so it's only about finding the time and motivation to read it. I'll get around to the K-ON movie sooner or later too since I started the first season not too long ago, even though I didn't watch more than the first episode just yet (was mostly focused on reading manga this month, like finally tackling Hourou Musuko after pushing it back for many, many years). And since I never heard of it before but the synopsis caught my eye, I'll checking out The Bride was a boy from your favorites too, especially because it shouldn't take too much time to finish reading it with its length.

And heh, I actually am happy! I like 20th Century Boys a lot, even after I noticed some of its flaws during the re-reads I had. Yeah, the ending is not exactly the best it could have been, which is a bit common for Urasawa (make sure to read the sequel 21st Century Boys afterwards btw, or the ending of 20CB will really leave you confused), but I just love what it does narratively, and how ambitious Urasawa actually was with the scale of the story (as in, the timespan that it covered). I hope you'll be among the people who have a favorable opinion of it by the end, but even if you don't, I wouldn't mind that either. Seeing others read his works is already good enough for me.
