Both have a Big strong guy falling for a girl for no particular reason. Both of them guys love the girl they have fallen for with unconditional love. Harima/Misao seek to protects, care for, and sacrifices himself for the girl he loves even though Tenma/Ayumi already loves anther person. Harima/Misao may seem to have a hard exterior but it seems that beyond the multiple fights they get involved with they are both kind hearted (More so Misao then Harima) and loves animals. --- Edit Extreme complex love polygons.
