My name is Johnny.
If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.
Anyway, I'm still in college, so I have a few more pressing issues than keeping my stories up to date. I still try, but it's pretty hard sometimes.
I used to write VERY poorly. I have marked the three stories I have a hard time stomaching. If you came here from SAO:CV and are looking for comparable works... RUN.
I'm actually a science major, going for electrical engineer. I just have a creative soul. I like to make everything all scientifically accurate in my stories too. I succeed... 20% of the time, by my estimates.
Edge of Tomorrow (Live, Die, Repeat) is one of my favorite movies. I love that kind of groundhog day scenario. I just don't like Groundhog Day. What can you do.
Anime/Manga I have watched: (Note: I used MyAnimeList now. I'll still update this though. My list has outgrown me way too quickly for me to update this. Feel free to friend me on MAL, same username)
My absolute favorite Anime is Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun. It is endlessly hilarious. I can't write endlessly hilarious stuff, so I won't be producing a fanfic for that anytime soon.
American media:
Ask, if you're really interested. I know about a lot of stuff, but I don't actually watch a lot of stuff.
Random bits:
Well, since I'm obviously continuing to make a fool of myself, I'd like to make called Half-Life 2 invades: and have a different universe each update. Sounds cool, but I would run out of clever stuff within the first four chapters.
I am an avid gamer, and I like story more than gameplay. Which is backwards. Makes me wonder why I like Payday 2 so much.
I currently have 310 (maybe an exaggeration) stories I write in my spare time: Only ten or so of them are in progress at any given time, and one of them is on fictionpress.
I stubbornly refuse to watch or read Naruto. I do read Naruto fanfiction though, and the fixfics I've seen have made the canon storyline look like complete shit. I may break down and read it if the Manga ends soon. Er, I may have been convinced to watch it by a girl. Stupid hormones.
I have yet to see a decent time travel fixfic for Vandread. It totally needs one. I may or may not be trying to solve this problem myself.
Interestingly, Fanfiction seems to know that "girl" in japanese is Shoujo, not Shouju, and it corrected me. I'm still trying to figure out why Japanese romanji are in this thing's spellcheck.
Rants! RANTS!
My own little Chrona-is-a-boy argument:
Medusa wanted a female child since witches are almost exclusively female, but got a boy. She gave him a gender neutral name and dressed him in girls clothes because she was attempting to convince those around her that Chrona was going to be a witch when he grew up. Of course, he never developed witch powers, so she mentally abandoned him and decided to use him as a test subject.
Kyon:
I don't actually think this is true. It's not a headcanon, just a thought. Kyon wanted to be someone's sidekick, right? In the first book, he said he used to want espers and time travelers and aliens as much as Haruhi does, and then amends that he wants to be a sidekick, watching from the sidelines.
It may be way later, but he gets it. Then, after he gets it he has an issue with just how bizarre it is. He starts getting angry at Haruhi. Then Yuki throws an error, providing Kyon with what he "wants," a way out.
If you ask me, that's Kyon getting his way, not Haruhi.
From a few of the (translated) comments that Yuki says even in the first book, Kyon's own admissions of what he wants, and the fact that Haruhi NEVER gets out of hand and seemingly CANNOT affect Kyon in a way that would ruin the story (plot armor doesn't count, I'm talking in-universe) I think it's possible to say Kyon has the power supposedly contained within Haruhi, but has self-placed himself in the role of sidekick.
I know that this is probably contradicted explicitly somewhere, but it's a little pet theory I like to think about as I read the books again.
