Hi! omg this is so late I'm really sorry

Thank you so much for your recommendations! I was surprised to get mainly manga recs, but looking at your lists now I can see why. :) Even though I have a higher number of anime on my list, I actually do prefer reading manga~

First off Jisatsutou—I'm really enjoying it! I had never heard of it before but it's really addicting. The art is really cool and I will probably check out the mangaka's other works once I'm finished with it.

Vinland Saga—I thought I already had this on my plan to read list but it looks like I never added it. But that goes to show that you picked something that I thought looked interesting! I haven't started it yet because I'm trying to find a good site to read it on, but seeing as you have it listed as your favorite manga I will definitely get to reading it soon so that I can let you know what I think of it. But just judging from what I've seen of it, I will probably like it ^^

Ghost in the Shell—Thaaank youuu for making me finally watch Ghost in the Shell! I seriously loved the 1995 movie. It was exactly the type of retro anime that I was looking to watch. I'll probably continue with the next movie because I can't let go of the atmosphere of the show just yet haha. It's also motivated me to pick up some of the older series that I also have on my plan to watch list already.

Lol so many thanks, but you seriously delivered the type of recs I was hoping to get so I'm really happy :D I hope you have a wonderful year!

edit: also, we have really high manga affinity I just noticed! I updated my manga scores a couple of days ago so maybe that's why XD

:) I'm also enjoying these conversations, it's nice.

I actually finished Holyland quite a while ago, just forgot to add it to my list. It's such a good manga, even if I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending it was still very entertaining. I'll have to checkout Jisatsutou. I'm already reading Destroy and Revolution (read it for a while it was on-going but put it on-hold until further notice like ~3 months ago).

I'll try reading the first few chapters, but tbh donno if I'll like it, I wasn't the biggest fan of Destroy and Revolution because of the art (Holyland was different :P.)

This read wasn't as good as the first one. In my opinion there was "too" much emotion; it felt exaggerated. But defiantly not a bad read, I appreciate the suggestion. :)

Happy new year. :)

If you have any other manga recs I'm all ears.

Tbh I liked the beginning the most, as you got to see them grow closer; develop a real father-daughter relationship. That one thing that really got me was when Koharu was at the play with her grandma and she said "Santa already gave me my present for this year." Grandma: "Oh? What did you get?" Koharu: "Masmune-kun!" Like damn, and the emotions were in the drawing too, so good. The whole first volume was without a doubt the best part of the manga.
Imo the quality dropped when Masmune started getting involved with his co-worker, it wasn't bad but I think the manga would have been better off without that part. But overall it was an awesome manga, I enjoyed it a lot. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to recommend me something for Secret Santa! I actually started reading Shamo a while back and then sort of got sidetracked, but your recommendation inspired me to give it a try again and stick with it. Thank you again! I'll let you know how I like it when I'm done.

Good luck on 5k manga. I hope to reach 5k before I'm 40 haha! xD

Ah thanks, you already have read quite a few on PTW list. Reading is something too rare today, many people on the site miss out on so much content because of their seemingly anime-only politic.

I'll recommend Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin.
