The show is definitely weird in the flow of the story, but I think that awkwardness also lends itself to helping the story as far as everything in their society being very disjointed. It's one of my favorites because it is rare to find something so brain-thinky.

I have not read any Michael Crichton, but someone recently gave me a gift card for the bookstore, so I might use that to get one of his books.

I guess by MAL's average, it's fairly beefy, I'm just going by my long-winded standards, I suppose lol Flamenco is pretty much an ANIME anime. Something you could only get from Japan.

We're watching FMA: Brotherhood now! It's really interesting seeing how different it is from the original despite it being the same story.

Mayyyyyyyybeeeee I'll start writing reviews. Maaaayyyybbbbbeeee it'll help me get through my between-show limbo. Especially after I've finished watching a show, I have a hard time moving on to the nest one. Or figuring out what I want to watch next.

There are many emotions in Romeo. Be prepared.

I enjoyed Yuri on Ice, but it wasn't what I wanted it to be. This one I watched simulcast, so I didn't have an option to binge watch it like I normally do. While it was the first thing I would watch when the new episodes came out, it didn't stand out to me as much as I'd hoped. The first few episodes were super cute, and I loved seeing all the training and effort that was going in to getting back to a peak skating performance. However, along the way, I felt like the show lost the 'growth in skating' aspect, at least in showing the journey, as it started for focus more on their relationship. Like, we get to see his performances getting better, but we hardly get to see the work and effort put into improvements between each competition. And, we only get small snippets of the other competitors' backgrounds. I love seeing all the different skating performances, that's what I signed on for, but the animation quality wasn't super good (if they had done all the performances the way they animated the opening song, I'd be super happy), and there wasn't enough build-up between performances to care about it as much as I wanted to.
In all, I enjoyed it, but it didn't stick out to me much.

I really enjoyed that short review you did on Samurai Flamenco. I remember finding the zany, "go for broke" storylines pretty entertaining as well. It went from Kick-Ass to Power Rangers to Super all within the span of its run-time. That's some ballsy, if not sloppy, storytelling.

Nah, I'm too lazy to write reviews. I also don't analyze any shows as in-depth as other people do, so I feel like my reviews would be kinda lame anyway.

I'm missing the donut comparison. Also, it's okay! Don't worry about the public comments.

Sublime review of 'Erased', pal. It's very well great to see people give it the credit it deserved.

It flabbergasts me that so many rate the Show as a '3' and '5'; Not to sound juvenile - it seems they're out to obliterate the somewhat good reputation it recieve back when it aired in 2016.

Whilst I certainly understand people's differences of speculation-- it's still rather diabolical to rate a psychological Show with a view on life not oftenly put into the perspective (Child abuse) as a '3'.

Either way, take care, pal.

I'm glad you like Silver Spoon!!! Also, you're too sweet, and your reactions to these shows are fun and funny. c: I can never hear the phrase 'pork bowl' and not think of that little-big piggy.

Also, for the record, I helped out with my first deer back in middle school.

I never actually watched Cowboy Bebop in order; I've just seen random episodes. And I'm glad space anime still lives up to its remembered legacy. I'll let you know when I start it!

SPACE!! I'll probably start with that one when I finish my current show. (Finally watching Code Geass)

I've watched the Cowboy Bebop movie, but I've only seen a few episodes of the show. I was always really satisfied with the content of the movie and didn't really feel like I was craving more. It is technically on my list of things to watch, but it's always been pretty low priority.

Coolio! And remember, you have to tell me what you think of those shows. I pride myself in making good anime recommendations for my friends.
RubyMoolah Jan 14, 2018 12:57 PM
Making suggestions!!!! They're in no particular order, just the ones that popped into my head. Some are the ones we talked about yesterday, others are ones I remembered today that you'd probably enjoy. - THE best couple ever in anime. - The one about the poem card game karuta. - The show that helped me eat. - The show that made me make tears and need tissues. TWICE. - A cute show about learning how to cook. - Another sports anime I became obsessed with. - A space anime version of the Count of Monte Cristo; it's very artsy and I think it would interest you a lot. - A rare slice of life show about a group of guy friends. - Dealing with youkai in a different fashion than most shows involving 'demons.' Nyanko-sensei is great. - It's just plain funny. The same realm as Azumanga. - Just watch it. You are not ready for episode 7. You never will be. Don't look up anything (okay, the main show description is fine to read). - One of the few shows I rated a 10. It makes the thinky brain think. - Time travel! Science! My favorite voice actor!

I literally just went through my completed list and picked these out for you. Mostly on the thought that these are shows you'll definitely like, but also to share a few shows that are important to me.
