I've never played the Neptunia games, but they seem fine; granted that me saying that something seems fine often translates to other people saying that the thing in question is trash. But, Ninja Wars will be the "first" Neptunia game that I'll play after finishing Shinovi Versus and Burst Burst Re:Newal. After that, we'll see. My PS3 also has custom firmware, so trying before buying is an option.
Oh, and I think I can get ZTranslate to work on the Vita thanks to RetroArch. If the Vita version has AI translation, than I might finally be able to play Eloquent Fist and Xross Impact on some form of a portable PlayStation. If not, RetroArch on Steam.
Well, out of the $200 that I spent for the games, Shining Dragon was only $20, so maybe that also says something. I don't have a Japanese PS2, and I don't know if PCSX2 can run it, so that game will forever be a question mark on my shelf unless I can rope in some poor motherfucker to force to fumble though the game with me. The PSP ones have a better chance of my actually playing if I can get ZTranslate to work, preferably on the Vita since I have custom firmware installed.
But still, we have Estival Versus and Peach Beach Splash these days. Those are great. Ryofu is so overpowered.
I haven't watched Drive but I bought the game on Steam to basically give Kenichirou Takaki more money, and I went HAM in 2019 and bought the special editions of the three Ikkitousen games on ebay.
I don't play them due to that lack of English translations/patches, but I like having them for the sake of asserting my dominance.
Oooooooh, booooyyy; do I have some fairly strong feelings about Shin despite not having watched it yet. I mean, I get it; only three episodes because Arms fucked up by giving Queen's Blade more attention than it should have ever gotten since Ikkitousen is better on all fronts. But following the series is fucking Stockholm syndrome at this point. What I'm calling season five has been airing since 2014. Extravaganza Epoch was a good start, but it was only two episodes. Western Wolves was good, but it was only three episodes. And then by 2020, I've contemplated canceling Ikkitousen Hell 3 since Arms shutting down lowered my motivation for that project, but then Shin gets announced last year, and the hype for a proper season 5 got real again thinking that TNK was coming back to the series and give it a proper sendoff and I finally finish Hell 3 in October. So now I'm in a position where I want to keep asserting my dominance and maybe start editing Hell 4 despite me saying that Hell 3 is the last one, but I think I enjoy Ikkitousen more though Senran Kagura and memelording with the anime more than trying to keep up with the anime these days.
I like to think that I'm fairly good at updating once a month considering that I can't make a living off of desktop wallpapers. That, and, I've completely lost interest in socializing on that site since Elpida-Wood disappeared. Hopefully he's okay.
