The Slice of Life Club will be hosting a Cute Competition for the next seven weeks. It's pretty much going to be the same thing as our Moe Competition, except for the fact that characters from overly popular series weren't allowed in the contest (since they always win). It's time to give other cute girls a chance to shine. There are four different groups with 32 girls in each group. One girl from each group will go on as a finalist to face off against each other in two championship rounds. Our winner and finalists will get a special card edition in their honor and a spot on the club's layout.

As you can see, we have quite the long lineup of girls for our first round. Half of them will be eliminated after this round, though, so please vote to help us decide who stays and who goes!
P.S. Due to the club having so many members, we aren't able to send out newsletters to all of our members. If you would like to receive newsletters from the Slice of Life Club, post here.
Our newsletters include notifications on when our competition rounds start, club event information, information on our monthly banner contest (new feature starting in September), news about updates and changes to the club, etc.
P.S.S We are in need of active card makers!
We do a few monthly editions and we really need some more card makers to help out with those. If you are interested in applying, click here.
Hello, everyone! I'm sending out this newsletter to inform everyone of a competition that the Slice of Life Club is currently hosting! If you're interested in voting on character polls, cute girls and/or winning a profile picture or banner, then keep reading!
The Slice of Life Club is hosting a Moe Competition! The competition will go on from now until September. I've split all of the characters up into four different groups. Each group will come down to a finalist and all four finalists will face off in a championship round. In total, there will be five different voting rounds (including the championship round). As promised back in November, the winner of the competition will be featured on the club layout and the finalists will have a special card edition made in their honor.
For additional information on the Moe Competition and match schedules, click here!
But wait, there's more! Are you interested in winning a profile picture or a banner? If so, >click here< to find out how!
The Slice of Life Club is currently looking to hire some more admins!

By God i meant that God they referred to in the anime. As in someone who ''watches over others and does nothing but watch.'' So yeah i asked if she became that ''God'' :) But then again on the other hand, they also said that god is someone that is worshipped by someone, that makes her not a god since no one basically knows of her existance (then again, who knows, it's not like they showed us any detail, maybe people worship her on wired).
I wasn't pleased with the ending, because yeah, as you said, it was almost like she became a sad Ghost.
Btw i didn't have much trouble understanding it :) But the ending.. you say she didn't physically exist anymore? i think she did, how else could have Arisu seen her :) I think the whole point of the ending was to show us that she didn't give up on the beating body that everyone else (wired people) told her to get rid off. I can be wrong at this though.
But on the other hand, it was weird that she didn't grow older.. is it just me or the ending was quite ambiguous (wow now that i think about it, they even mentioned that word in Lain)?
Hi just wanted to tell you i finished watching Lain. What a weird series! I am uncertain about it's ending so i might be even rewatching it. Unique series, really.
Hey, haven't talked for some time. I actually only have one question about Bakuman. 3
I see you just finished it, can you tell me where it left off? Did they make it to the end of series?
I haven't read 20 last pages of manga (i read the last chapter though). I just wish to watch the last manga pages content on anime.

Yeah Prince of tennis went way way too far. Thought i'd give the flashiest example i could :P I should give Hikaru a try. Just remembered the author was the artist of Death Note and Bakuman. Is the story good enough, any character development, additional romance or anything?
i usually like psychological anime too, but i guess it depends on mood. Right now going to try some 300 chapter slice-of-life, romance, sport manga. Its almost 20 years old but seems good so far.
Haha well actually i have no interest in sport as well. I don't find it that interesting in real life. Strangely sport in anime version is quite entertaining :) i watched some Prince of tennis, and, can you imagine tennis balls exploding and flying in colours? Naah. Only anime can show it like that. I think that Sport, action anime and magic, action anime can be quite similar to each other in a strange way, just that sport anime is more related to real life. But that's just my opinion.
One outs is actually one of the sport animes i couldn't keep on watching. Maybe i'll try it out later on again, but yeah as you said, there's nothing to do with the things i liked about sport anime, it seemed bit boring :O
Hi, i got back already. Kind of fail ''trying-to-leave'', wasn't away for long at all.. At the moment i'm trying to watch all the good sport anime i can find, i really like team work and hidden talent kind of theme. At first i didn't like sport anime at all, but some of them are quite good :)
What's the most favourable anime you have watched recently? Ghost hound or something else?
btw is Shoujo Madoka★Magica really that good? ive seen many people recommend it but i wasn't that impressed by first episode, not even sure i finished the first episode at all..
Hi there : ) Yes i remember they spoke somehow differently. I thought it was quite awesome too. I rememeber how i loved the first episodes, they were so creepy. Hehe. It was a great watch indeed :)
I wanted to let you know that I'm taking a small break from anime, still going to finish some unfinished ones though, but i wont visit this site not that often anymore. I'm just checking out some TV shows and other things.
Oh ok. If i ever have time i'll try that subtitle thing out.
Aha.. now i am at last episode of Requiem of phantom. And i haven't seen the last minutes. I bet that long haired guy sent some people to kill them in end? Or there is some kind of accident.. I think i'll watch it still..
Ah... okay... i'll just pretend i didn't see what happened. He was one second away to see her real smile. Weirdly my mood isn't ruined. At least she was able to smile, even for once :') Therefore he was able to fulfill her wish..
I see you are watching Ghost Hound. It is quite interesting. I've forgotten a lot about it but it was good. I should rewatch it. I think that's one of the only anime that talks so much about human brain?
Well since the original story of FMA was already available when i started watching the series, i didnt bother with the anime-only version :) i remember my friend talking about the anime original story as well, so i know a little bit about that too.
Haha. Well yeah i think i understand japanese a little, but still, not really used to using Google to find subtitles and such nor do i know anything about changing timelines. You need some kind of program for it don't you..
Actually right now i'm trying to make my hold-on list a little smaller. Finishing Requiem of Phantom which has been in my hold-on list for ages as well. Probably giving Higurashi a try after it ;)
Aha so DtB had interesting coming-up. Well yeah not all anime originals are bad. Like for example Anohana was anime original as well. I think they are actually good when they are made just anime originals to begin with. What i hate is when there is actually a story in manga and it gets changed by filler-writers.
Hmm maybe i watch newer anime only bacause they are easier to find online. I think that is one of the reasons. Like for example i tried to watch Serial Experiments Lain, but i can't find a good subbed version of it. Page i usually watch subbed anime from has actually just a raw version of it, out of whole only 2 sentences translated, really weird. Now even Beck is quite hard to find subbed with good quality.
Many of the anime i had on-hold i just decided to drop because i knew i wasn't going to pick them up anymore. It doesn't have to be bad to be dropped, just lack of interest in story or disappointment in general.
