Infinite Stratos is a very enjoyable anime. Flying through the skies with a customized bot, along with tons of action and fanservice... how could it not be enjoyable? It most certainly has a Strike Witches-esque feel to it. And its English dub in particular was absolutely stellar with consideration when it was made (it was produced before Sentai Filmworks got good). I love the regional accents Sentai used for Cecilia, Laura and Charlotte.

But there's one thing that absolutely bugged the living hell out of me. I'm sure many of you would agree. It's the fact that Chifuyu called Ichika by HIS LAST NAME. Uh, read more

Before I begin, I am just gonna say... AVOID THIS SHOW LIKE THE PLAGUE. That is all. I'm gonna rant how bad it is, if you'll excuse me.

This is one of the most appalling anime I've watched, next to Voices of a Distant Star and Orange Road. Even with industry elites like Michelle Ruff (Rukia), Joshua Seth (Tai) and Richard Cansino (Kenshin), whom played the roles of Kizuna, Zero and Azuma respectively, they still couldn't save the damn show. Not to mention that the directing was atrocious as well. Even the most acclaimed voice talent can't rescue a shipwreck read more

Note 1: MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE DR2 GAME AND DESPAIR ARC ANIME! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU'VE CHECKED THEM OUT!

Note 2: This review is going to be an in depth evaluation about the Dangan Ronpa 2 game AND the Despair arc anime. It will be divided into the two sections. Skip to Section 2 (Despair arc) if you're only interested in that.

Note 3: This is a continuation of my previous review. DON'T READ THIS UNTIL YOU AT LEAST KNOW THE STRUCTURE OF MY DANGAN RONPA REVIEWS.

Note 1: MAJOR SPOILERS! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU'VE PLAYED DR1 OR WATCHED THE ANIME!

Note 2: This review will rate the Dangan Ronpa 1 media as a whole, which also includes the game, and not strictly just for the anime.

Before I begin, let me clarify that this review is gonna:

1) Have a lot of fangasms (I am the self proclaimed Ultimate Dangan Ronpa Fanboy, so...)

2) Brutally bash the Japanese voice acting (with harsh language) while critically praising the English dub

3) Rate the Eng dub of both the Dr1 game and Dr1 anime

Ok, let's begin. Dangan Ronpa is my shit. Practically the BEST game/anime franchise I've read more

This is primarily going to be a deliberate rant about how much I hated the Special A dub, and this is coming from someone who only watches dubs. The anime is fine by its own right, so I'm not gonna delve too deep into any elements other than the voice acting. I'm just gonna briefly rate the other elements, and that's it.

I have several problems with this dub. The first being Andrew Love, a voice actor that specializes in deep voices is the voice of Tadashi. Oh, hell no. There's plenty of other voice actors in the Houston area that could fit the bill. read more

Intro: Voices of a Distant Star is probably one of the most appalling anime I've watched, next to Orange Road (which I still regard as the worst anime ever created).

Story: 2/10

Yeah, yeah, I get it. It's a love story. Seen plenty of those. Sadly, VoDS does not stand out in this regard. And for god's sake, who the HECK would use a flip phone in 2047? So much for advancements in technology.

This honestly looks like a fan animation than a professionally produced anime. I'm not kidding. The frame rate is so god awful that I can't even...! Argh.

Intro:

I'm usually down with pretty much any kind of anime, but Orange Road is the most BORING piece of garbage I've seen. I didn't drop it; I fastforwarded through the EPs after EP10 since there is literally NO development whatsoever until the final 2 EPs and the movies. An anime like Orange Road would have been ok if it only had 13 Eps, but nnnnnnnnnnooooooooooo, they just chose to torture their viewers with 40+ eps of the same thing. Additionally, unlike anime that are 2-3 times longer like Ranma 1/2 and Inuyasha, it ISN'T entertaining. Long anime don't bother me at all so long as read more
