Woah this one was a doozy, Teppu is probably one of the more unique manga's out there with it's premise and it's approach to storytelling. Telling the story from what would normally be the antagonist of the story rather then the protagonist and honestly, Teppu wouldn't be half as good if it was written the other way around.

I'm going to be honest, when I first completed this series I thought it was extremely lackluster and not worth the 3 hours~ I spent binging it but looking back on it and thinking about the themes and the characters more and more I came around to it. ... More specifically, Natsuo the main character. I disliked her so much and hated that she didn't change by the end of the story but looking back, she did change or rather she WILL change. She's found something that she loves and that she can pour love into and when you pour love into something, that same thing pours love into you back. I shouldn't expect a person with 16 years of anguish to change in the span of 6 months, and once I came to that conclusion is when I truly saw Teppu for what it was.

In the end, the fact that Teppu is a good manga that I came around after finishing my read through.

(P.S this isn't much of a review but just my general thoughts.)
What can I say that hasn't already been said? This anime is simply the greatest anime ever made. When I first started watching it I thought that it was good but didn't understand the hype but upon completion I stand by the statement that this is the greatest anime ever made. Everything blends in perfectly, no episode is wasted, everything single character matters and they are serve their purposes. I truly can't understate how good this is. It might not be for everyone but it was certainly for me.

While I did enjoy this adaptation very much, compared to the manga, it felt very lackluster, like it was missing something from Araki's original work. Not to say it's bad, not in any way but to me it felt like it lacked something.
Like Araki's charm, his amazing art, the way he draws the characters in amazing poses and the way he structures his manga, just something felt off about and I can't much put my finger on it, I guess maybe because I have witnessed this story in it's original format that I built up too many expectations? Anyways, It's good.
But I would 100% ... recommend the manga over this, considering I would say around the mid of part 4 is when Araki truly honed in on his style and it shines brilliantly in the manga, still if this is your only source of experiencing this story, then so be it.
