Darling in the Franxx was laughably bad. However it had some incredible qualities buried underneath all the terrible aspects, and all the 1-3 rated reviews felt extremely biased so I feel obligated to write a bit fairer one to point out the good, the bad, and the awful. I like to think of this as Guilty Crown 2.0: A slight improvement.

Much like guilty crown this show was heavily hyped, and the animation and music were both highlights. However, also like guilty crown, some of the writing was so horrendously bad it will either leave you cringing or crying with laughter. Buried beneath it all though, read more

Hyouka (Anime) add (All reviews)
If you're looking for a slice of life about high school kids, Hyouka is probably a great choice for you. If you saw the mystery tag and thought this might be something to keep you constantly intrigued, searching for details and over analyzing, I would steer you elsewhere, as would I anyone looking for anything other than a high school slice of life. While it is beautifully animated, has some decent(ish) characters, and DOES have mysteries, it lacks anything that will stir up a desire to know what comes next. The mysteries all relate to trivial things, with nothing at stake and nothing to be read more

(This review is based on the English-dubbed retail version)
I wanted to avoid writing reviews of anything I considered a personal favorite, anything I would of rated a 10, or anything I especially hated to avoid being biased. I'm going to go against that rule for this movie though, because it's an absolute must see for any DBZ fan.

Cooler's Revenge is an example of a series-based movie adaptation that does everything right. It flows into the series timeline without any notable contradictions to the canon timeline, while still retaining relevance and ties to the main story. Being under an hour in run time it is a read more

This will contain two reviews, a quick-short one without any spoilers, followed by an in depth one with some minor spoilers. Any major spoilers will be marked again.

Short Review (No Spoilers)
Mirai Nikki (The Future Diary) incorporates several different genres, the more prominent ones being psychological thriller, romance, and comedy. If one or more of those categories interests you this anime is undoubtedly worth at least giving a shot, as it's only 26 episodes - not a huge time commitment. The most important factor I would recommend using to gauge if this anime is for you, is how serious you want to take things. read more

Quick Review (No spoilers)

I read a couple of other reviews saying this was the most unoriginal thing ever, claiming it was a ripoff of attack on titan and parasyte -the maxim-, which compelled me to write this review. Don't let those reviews dissuade you from giving this anime a shot. Kabaner is anything but lacking originality, and the animation and soundtrack are both some of the best, if not the best I have seen from a TV series. It easily matched the beauty of a Ghibli film, while harboring a bit darker of a plot. The characters were the weakest aspect for lack of read more

My review will start with a short version free of any spoilers, followed by an in depth review containing some minor spoilers.

-Quick overview- (no spoilers)
To me HxH was a very average anime in terms of my overall enjoyement, with some amazing qualities but also some stinkers. My biggest issue going in to HxH was probably my expectations. A couple friends I had met on an MMO reccomended it to me, calling it the best shonen of all time. At this time I had already finished naruto and bleach, and was up to date on One Piece, all of which i rank 9 or read more
