Do you believe in magic? No, not the typical "magic" you'd find at a magic show or anything but actual magic? Annarasumanara tells the story of Ah-ee and how she struggles on a everyday basis to make enough money to provide for herself as well as her younger sister. In other words, she's poor as dirt. With her mom out of the picture and her dad on the run from loan sharks Ah-ee is very much alone. One day while chasing down money that was in her possession she runs into a strange man who claims to be a real magician. From there on Ah-ee's ... life changes.

Essentially, Annarasumanara not only puts a spotlight on Ah-ee but two other characters,: Ah-ee's classmate, Il-Deung and how he lives a one track life of nothing but his studies and the mysterious magician himself. Annarasumanara is well woven reality check of the "grown up world" so to speak and how each of the characters handles the emotional tethers of life's struggles and the rather harsh reality of growing up in the real world almost without any belief of magic or hopes for the future.

I can say the most commented and praised detail about this story would have to be the art style and how it captured the mood of the story making it seem a bit darker than it was made to be while making a few appropriate stops to add color and brightness to the pages as if to say "even in the deepest, darkest pits of despair and disbelief if you make the magic a reality you can light the path to your future."

Overall i'm very happy I ran into this title because it gave me a very important lesson on life and how you yourself believe in magic then you can use it to break your own physical and emotional tethers.

A simple and easy to ready manga deserves a quick and easy review, yes? Anywho, the story revolves around high school gamer Motoba Hitachi and how he leads a boring uneventful life playing 2d video games. It wasn't until his "Notice me sempai im secretly crushing on you!" underclassman Miu invites him to a real life-like simulation of a game in a castle. Doesn't sound so bad, right? Things go from good to bad to even worse than bad when they realize the castle really isnt a castle, it's a fortress-like prision. And the life-like simulation of a game? Well it's as real as it ... gets! Now Hitachi, Miu and a mysterious person by the name of Mimori must transverse through the castle and find the way out before they fall victims to the horrors inside the castle.

Honestly the story starts out pretty good and then it moves into cliche shounen protagonist-must-save-the-princess-who-coincidentally-gets-herself-captured-and- is-now-somewhere-inside-the-castle kind of story. If that isnt enough to make you save your precious time reading this manga, get this: the manga is only 15 FREAKING CHAPTERS. Now you think a nice setting and story would warrant more than just 15 chapters but nooooooo.

In summary, it has a pretty good start, decent characters and plot pretty similar to what is now known as the popular SAO but rapidly falls flat on its face due to the chapters getting released at an agonizing slow pace, not to mention the fact it had the potential to be one of many popular ongoing series to day but sadly the story, plot and possible character arcs end in just 15 chapters. Sorry to say but this is one of those titles you're going to read and feel angry at yourself for wasting your own time reading it. Satisfactory at best.

Has your family member suddenly died and you want to raise them from the dead? Head on over to Slum Street, the place full of sorrows and desire and you'll find the Necromancer. For the price of signing a contract and shaving a few years off your life you can raise that family member from the grave temporary.

Essentially the manga is broken into episodic chapters almost like a one shot but with more chapters. I like how the Necromancer, Asutsou deals with different issues within the town from a long dead artist to someones sister. But talking about the dead and death is a bit ... heavy so how about we throw in an animated female law enforcement agent for good measure? But seriously Ricott (police girl much?) is a pretty hilarious character for a while thinking Asutsuo was a fraud and running a ponzi scheme. The story itself takes a bit to get going while the underlying issue to Asutsuo's intentions of why he became a necromancer and how Ricott is involved will creep up towards the end. A decent read if you want a quick fix of another title to add to your list.

First of all I honestly didn't expect this manga could bring me on such a feels trip, but it did. The story revolves a hot headed dare devil Ishida Shouya and how he bullied and mentally tortured a deaf girl by the name of Nishimiya Shouko to the point the entire class joins in and she is forced to transfer to another school. Soon after the class's attitude turns to Ishida and the one who started it all is the new target. Years later of being the class's punching bag and scapegoat he begins to realize how badly he treated Shouko and after coincidentally running ... into her once again he decides to walk the path of redemption by making for the years he selfishly taken from Shouya while at the same time making sure the crimes of his ugly past doesn't come back to haunt him.


This story touches on so many real world topics, : Bullying of the disabled, the pain of learning that because you're different someone or everyone will take advantage of the situation making your or someone's life hell in the long run. It also covers learning to deal with your past transgressions, learning how to make friends from scratch and most importantly how people, good or bad can change. Ooima, Yoshitoki definitely will capture your heart and emotions when you read this from start to finish.


As of this review there has been a movie announced so I'm pretty excited to watch the heart tugging feels I felt while reading now on my laptop screen. Hopefully the emotions of the characters to the music brings me back to the first time I read the manga.

Being a huge fan of horror manga this one had me hooked from the first chapter. The story starts out the main lead, Kazuki taking out his trash when he spots a woman in a lolita getup sitting in the garbage. She asks "Do you have a sister" to which he responds. Bad mistake. He realizes that his answer may have just cost him his life.

Story: The story is a roller coaster from the first chapter, consisting of unpredictable situations and gripping events from chapter to chapter.

Art: Definitely a superb highlight of the manga. Every character and gore scenes were detailed perfectly, capturing ... the moments as they happen.

Characters: They are changed dramatically once they realize their previous peaceful lives are slowly dragged to hell. Don't get attached to them, as they may wind up dead in the most cringe worthy deaths possible.

Overall: I was blown back in just fourteen chapters the story turns from "Hey this isnt pretty bad" to "Oh, they are screwed now" with the most WTF endings, I don't even Higurashi could top that. The most enjoyed horror manga to date.

In anime and manga, love tends to be one of the weirdest things to happen. This manga is no exception. Enter, Kouta Matsushiro who happens to have a crush on his classmate and is terrible at him trying to get her attention. One day a cupid (or rather a witch) named Sasara shows up in Kouta's life in order to solve his issue. Only problem is, her magic sucks. It leaves Kouta in often akward, yet funny situations where nothing he does goes according to plan.

Story: The story is pretty straight forward, guy falls in love with girl but fails to grab her attention. ... In comes cupid (witch) in order his problems. The story takes a turn a bit more than your typical romance manga in which the main character uses "Love Magic" in which certain requirements have to be met, such as "Pat your crushes head 10 times" or "Get your crush to say 'thank you' 10 times"

Art: Typical with occasional emphasis to detail on some chapters.

Characters: The characters were pretty funny and enjoyable to watch them in certain situations. Even the angels had their own running joke that doesn't get stale.

Enjoyment: I found myself reading more and more until I was finally done.

Overall: This is definitely one of many romance mangas I wouldn't hesitate to re-read for the sake of the enjoyable comedic situations and characters. The ending made it well worth reading. Definitely one for romance comedy fans.

I'm not gonna lie, part of me wanted to hate this based on on obviously short the show is, but up until the very last episode, I kind of liked it. But let's break it down a bit further.

1: Story- Now i'll be frank, the story was short with a bit of inconsistencies, but it grows on you as the story goes on. The story follows a young girl named Wakaba who happens to see spirits and as a result, anyone who has any contact with her ends up "cursed." As a result Wakaba is the center of ridicule and has no friends, ultimately keeping ... her in a very depressing isolated state. This changes one day when she spots a pink being later named "Po" and Wakaba brings him home.

2: Art- Slightly above average for an anime this short, though I did annoy me a little that the other characters had pointed teeth, possibly to represent these characters as the not-so-friendly crowd. Animation was average at best.

3: Sound- Definitely one the highlights of the show, not one track was out of place and fit the mood perfectly.

4: Characters- The main characters both had meaning and their personal back stories were interesting, but the other two characters who showed up to be the plot devices were uninteresting and plain. I would have liked to see a bit more on who they were and where they came from before they met the main characters.

5: Enjoyment- A part of me likes the show, while another part wanted to see more to fully understand what the creators were trying to push with these characters, but the last episode was probably my biggest "WTF" moment when you come to terms on what PO really is and how Wakaba displayed a bit more of her feelings outside of a blank stare as the show progresses. It's definitely worth your hour of viewing time, if you really don't have anything else to watch.

Nichijou was definitely one of those shows I checked out and instantly loved due to the insane nature of the entire show. This is a twenty six episode consisting of nothing but chaos and mayhem.

Art: 8

While completely skipping story and characters (which are non existent) the art is this show is excellent and it shows how much went into the animation and how well it went with this show.

Sound: 8

The show consists a very remember-able soundtrack, the opening theme for the show is very catchy and fun

... Enjoyment: 8

This definitely is one of my favorite shows that I can watch over and over and not get bored of the wacky humor this show implies.

Let me say right now this anime didn't have any high expectations from me whatsoever. Moreover the episodes in the entire show were no more than four minutes long.

What way to net an audience to even watch this travesty? Have a death right before the next episode. But seriously, the story follows Utsutsu and his young sister Yume and the events that follow after Yume sees a red butterfly which results in her turning into a strange creature that happens to hunger for human flesh.

Art: 6

Not gonna lie I actually like the art style in which the backgrounds look like a painting and ... the characters happen to exist.

Sound: 2

Aside from a pretty catchy opening (in my opinion seems to be the only highlight of the show) the music isn't very ear catching at all.

Characters: 4

Aside from Yume and Utsutsu there are two more characters but they are just there to help the "plot" along and barely any info to on.

Enjoyment: 3

Not much to go on since it seems like the whole show went in fast forward and failed to bring any kind of any enjoyment to the show.

Just a very mundane show, the main characters had an interesting back story but failed to execute, stalemate plot (If there was any) and the entire show led up to a terrible cliff hangar.
