Keep in mind that this is solely my opinion and my opinion only. I'd also like to say that I don't dislike this manga, and there are no hard feeling towards it. Also, if I don't make sense in some instances while writing this, my bad, I'll get you some soda to compensate. (i owe a lot of sodas, this is also my first manga review)
5 on MAL is average, and I can say that me and a few others are comfortable with this rating. To me, Alicia-san no Diet Quest was just a short series of laughs, (i didnt laugh) unique diet techniques, along
...
with a short story to go along. Let me explain why I thought this series deserved a 5.
The story seemed promising, but for some reason, I feel like I've seen this basis before. We have a set of characters (Ryan, Alicia, and Sara) out on their journey to beat up the big boy demon lord. That shouldn't be too hard. However, Alicia and Sara seemed too upset about their weights and want to change that while making their way to the demon king. The group gets sidetracked and everything. I didn't find this story that remarkable to be honest with you. Just genius, dumb, funny ways the squad fights with monsters and their weights.
The art was good. I found it very nice, attractive, and detailed. One of the reasons I read this manga to begin with was with the art, and partially Alicia's melons. I don't know what it is, but this manga gave off cute vibes. I also like the RPG vibe it gave off. If this was a game, (could or could not be at the moment) I would probably play it.
The characters in Alicia-san no Diet Quest were average to me. Just a squad of heroes who get sidetracked off their main duty and instead slack off doing questionable things. These characters felt really similar to those in the Konosuba series, just less eye-catching and funny. In the end, I would say they are barely satisfactory in my book.
I'll be honest with you, I did not enjoy the series at all. Like for a few other series, you get hooked on the first few chapters, then you lose interest because they perform the same actions over and over again. I was out here like "When are they going to beat up the demon king?" To be honest I was just more into that than the weight interventions. If they had a game changer or two that was eye-catching (for example, permanent death), it would have been a little bit better.
Overall, Alicia-san no Diet Quest was just an average manga to me. Nothing was too special or remarkable to me. (besides alicias melons) I feel like they could have a better job on this manga. For example, they could have included side quests or other events like a beach/coastal side trip. I would recommend this to you if you want a quick laugh, dumb, but genius ways to lose weight, or some melons. Not bad, not good either, just in the middle.
(i probably mustve said some controversial/dumb/questionable comments. it is my first time reviewing a manga. just wanted to express how i felt while reading this manga. feel free to let me know whats on your mind)

8 on MAL is very good, and 8 seems like a fair rating to give to Kiniro Mosaic's sequel. I actually didn't know that Kiniro Mosaic had a sequel until like months later. Since I had watched the first season, I had my hopes high for this one. Although it had provided a similar basis, Kiniro Mosaic S2 had some other specialties
...
up its sleeve. Once again, short review.
The basis of Kiniro Mosaic S2 is just a continuation of the gang's funny, cute, and wacky adventures (in school and outside of school), just that they are separated into different classes. Not a very interesting twist but it'll do for now. They could've included a game changer that would've made this anime more eye-catching and better.
Once again, the art here in S2 is even better than S1 and I like it. The cute drawings and characters is what I like about Kiniro Mosaic S2.
Sound is sound, not a lot to say here. The sound in S2 was decent, and the opening and ending was great. Props.
The characters in Kiniro Mosaic S2 are awfully similar to those in S1. We are introduced to plenty of new characters, however, they didn't really interest me a lot because of their small amounts of screen-time. That still doesn't stop me from saying that the characters in S2 are good though. Still cute, loli size, and funny.
I didn't enjoy S2 as much as S1 because of the basis of the story. The first season was enough for me. Two seasons might be a little bit pushy for me. If there was a big change in the story/episodes, it might have convinced me to enjoy this more.
In the end, Kiniro Mosaic is still a good watch despite following in S1's footsteps. A big twist would have made this anime better. If you watched S1 of Kiniro Mosaic, I'm sure you will love S2 of Kiniro Mosaic.

Keep in mind that this is solely my opinion and my opinion only. Also, if I don't make sense in some instances while writing this, my bad, I'll get you some lemon soda to compensate.
On MAL, an 8 rating stands for "very good", and I'm completely fine with giving Kiniro Mosaic an 8. To me, Kiniro Mosaic is like a better revamped sequel to A-Channel. The loli girls are once again cute and full of different personalities. Let us try again to keep this review short.
Kiniro Mosaic's story is like many others, but with a twist. It all starts with pen pal buddies (Shinobu and
...
Alice) meeting in Europe. The two got along real well until Shinobu had to depart for Japan. Eventually in high school, Shinobu has received information that Alice will be coming to Japan for high school, and she's well prepared. They soon reunite and start creating more memories with three others, Karen, Aya, and Youko. Putting a twist to an ordinary basis is good, I approve.
The art in Kiniro Mosaic is definitely something I don't see a lot. It has the style of the characters in A-Channel, cute, loli, and those bug ol' eyes. I'm a fan when it comes to this art style.
Once again, sound is sound, and it isn't bad in Kiniro Mosaic. The opening and ending are fine, nothing too much.
When I saw the characters in Kiniro Mosaic, they were pretty similar to those in A-Channel in terms of personalities, just that we have foreigners. It still doesn't stop the fact that they are cute and funny. We have cool klutz, smart normal people, man girls, blonde foreigners. You want it, they have it.
I enjoyed this a little better than A-Channel and that's certain. I laughed more, had more fun watching this, and those musicals in every episode didn't exist. However, it's still a slice of life anime and I'm not into those that much.
Overall, Kiniro Mosaic was fun to watch. It's literally an A-Channel sequel that I wasn't aware of. In general this is a good watch if you like cute lolis, slice of life, and foreigners speaking English to the best of their abilities.

Keep in mind that this is solely my opinion and my opinion only. Also, if I don't make sense in some instances while writing this, my bad, I'll get you some cola to compensate.
Referring to MAL's ratings, 7 is good, and 7 is what I'm satisfied with. A-Channel was pretty good. Some ups and downs but its quite a fine anime. The loli girls are flourishing with personalities and looks, especially Yuuko. Again, let us make this review short and non-eye straining.
A-Channel's basis is literally in the view of four girls (Run, Tooru, Yuuko, and Nagisa) and their daily lives together, with Tooru being quite
...
a protective one. All I managed to grab from this was a slice of life, comedy vibe. The story didn't resonate with me that much, but it wasn't bad at all.
The art in A-Channel is quite different from others. The way they are drawn/animated is definitely something. The loli appearances and the big ol' bug eyes is what makes the art shine for me.
Once again sound is sound, but I guess it was unique for them to include little music segments in each episode as it provided a comfortable atmosphere. The opening and endings were normal.
The characters in A-Channel weren't the most special and one of a kind, but they did seem to bring some different things into the equation. We have all types of life ranging from the cool klutz, yandere/kuudere, the cute/shy/fearful girl, and the happy/cheerful girl. A-Channel is definitely something.
A-Channel wasn't the most enjoyable due to it being a slice of life primarily. However, there were some parts that touched my heart in many ways. I'm more in the neutral position, but slowly shifting into in the positive range with my enjoyment opinion.
In the end, A-Channel is good. There is a little bit of everything in here, from the comedy moments to the scary moments. If you like cute lolis, short musicals, literal melons, or slice of life anime, A-Channel is definitely up your alley.

Based on MAL's ratings, 6 is fine, and that's what I'm set on with this anime. Aho Girl is neither bad or amazing, just somewhere in between. For me, Aho Girl is like one of those animes you watch if you want a quick laugh or some sense of gender equality. Let's try to keep this review short in terms of ratings.
The story for Aho Girl is pretty simple. As
...
the title implies, we have an "aho" or stupid girl that goes by the name of Yoshiko who does stupid things while the homeboy Akutsu contemplates his connections with her, usually expressing his emotions in the most perfect way. The basis of the story is fine with me, but it didn't really seem unique or interesting, especially in future episodes.
The art for Aho Girl is fair, nothing too special and nothing to simplistic.
Sound is sound, what do I even need to explain here. (btw the opening is pretty good ngl)
The characters in Aho Girl seem pretty simple and normal, like any fine anime there is. From a stupid cheerful girl to a normal blonde sane girl to a disciplinary president with some melons, I don't see how this can be that unique.
In some parts of Aho Girl, I might of had a small laugh here and there, with the occasional burst, but all in all, it was just me looking at a girl doing stupid things like any normal stupid person would do. I didn't enjoy it that much but I liked it.
In conclusion, Aho Girl is fine in my book. If you are feel like watching a girl do the most idiotic things in the universe or if you like watching an anime where gender equality is achieved, Aho Girl is just for you.
