Upon reading the synopsis and seeing "her dream was to have casual sex with 100 men," my mind went blank. I guess my testosterone levels were high at the time because by the time I knew it the whole anime was downloaded on my computer and the first episode was rolling.
B Gata H Kei is a very "sexually humored" driven anime, I like it. Although this looks like a fan service anime it wasn't as flashy as say "Rosario + Vampire" or "Ladies vs Butlers" with up skirt galore every 5 secs. What really made this anime interesting is the different points of view it
...
shows, seeing what each character is thinking really allows you to empathize with the characters and make it even funnier to know what each of them are thinking. The different awkward/extreme/erotic situations Yamada and Kosuda end up in are hilarious. All for the purpose of Yamadas plans to seduce Kosuda.
The art of the anime suited the anime well. Most of the girls are drawn not to make them perfect but to give them a sense of realism, they all have one of their own special "features" (eg big bewbs, slender body, cute face) , however they are not all perfect, which is a beautiful thannggg. Kosuda is presented as your average high school boy and he fits the description very well, hes not a blonde, feminine, perfect bishounen boy but an average looking boy with the build of a MAN.
The sound of the anime was pretty average, the OP and ED weren't anything extraordinary. The voice acting was pretty good, they suited the characters quite well, I especially liked the "OHOHOHO" laugh of the rich girl Kanejou, oh Japan and your stereotypes. The random "B Gata H Kei" was surprisingly cute and catchy.
Character is what I liked most about this anime, its hard to find a good horny female lead that actually has a personality. Damn, Yamada was so funny and very daring, she would go to extreme lengths to try to take Kosudas virginity, but somehow always fail. And her interpretation of things, seeing everything in a perverted way for example. Getting an earring as a present and seeing it as a symbol of "I want to fuck you" from Kosuda sent me into a state of hysteria of laughter. Kosuda, I really felt his pain when hes gets all confused as to why is this happening to him, man ALL THEM FEELS. I mean its not everyday a hot girl wants to steal your virginity. All through out the anime I was like oh damn if only you knew what she really wanted.
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, it really is a unique romance comedy. I didn't want it to end, but when it did I tried to look for similar anime with no luck. It was like finding a rare gem in the vast ocean, you'll never find another one.
Now I've talked about the humor of this anime to a large extent, but this anime is also very unexpectedly romantic in a way, the intimacy the characters share shows the strong bond between them and really warms your heart to see them interacting. If you enjoy ecchi humor and surprisingly deep romance, I suggest you watch this anime. I don't recommend this to people who hate fan service, and "dirty humor."
But really who doesn't like sex?

Well, it sort of feels like a blast from the past. Kinda makes you look at times in your childhood when you played ninjas or superpowers with your friends at school when you were young and how embarrassing it would be if you were to try that now in highschool, the looks on peoples faces and stares.
Right now the story hasn't progressed too much 4 episodes in, right now I think the characters are just being introduced. I can feel the romance progressing in the future and it looks promising, but for now its just a typical slice of life moe girls doing cute
...
things. The ability of this anime to invoke a sense of sympathy for Yuuta, when Rikka does something cute but embarrassing is pretty incredible. In my head if i were in Yuutas position I'd just like "Oh gawd, please shtap," as Rikka acts out her battle with an imaginary demon king in front of a bunch of people.
The main reason I've come to watch this anime is of course Art, Rikka is too damn cute, god damn she might be the cutest character in all the anime's I've seen. I'm not sure what it is, her cute hair or the eye patch shes just too mesmerizing. I'm also pretty happy the main male protagonist isn't a god damn bishounen, hes just your average guy trying to be a normal high schooler. The battle scenes are also not bad, made to show the exaggerated imagination of Rikka as she battles creatures from over dimensions, which then transitions into real life as you see Rikka jumping around with her over dramatic acting out of her imagination, its very enjoyable to watch :].
Oh my, the sound Rikka makes when she gets hit on the head is moe-diculous, yeah I made a new fucking word to describe a sound. I'm also happy that her voice actress is actually pretty hot, Uchida Maaya props to you for making cute sounds when getting hit, they're not a lot of hot voice actresses and I'm happy Rikka has one . The ending song is actually pretty catchy as well I even downloaded it.
Characters of this anime, Rikka is obviously the best, so innocent and pure minded adds to her cuteness. I feel Yuuta's pain as he tries to shut away a part of his life hoping it to never resurface, I especially empathize with wanting to go back in time to punch yourself, I mean who doesn't want to go back in time and punch themselves for something embarrassing they've done?
I've enjoyed this anime quite a bit, and I'm going to try to go on hiatus to save as many episode as possible so I can marathon through to experience great amounts of entertainment, however I probably won't last long because I'm already twitching to see the next episode :[.
All in all, it looks like a promising anime, I can't wait until this animes finished so I can watch it all in one go, if you want a unique anime experience or just want to a comedy of with cute moe girls watch Chuunibyou demo koi Shitai! its worth it.

Hajime no Ippo, a great anime series not only for those who are interested in boxing, but a whole variety of genres such as drama, comedy and even romance. I picked the anime up only because of my boxing background but got a whole lot more than i expected.
Really this anime has such a simple cliché plot, I mean who hasn't heard of the story of a boy getting bullied who then turns into a beast. Yet the producers were able to tell the story in a such a captivating and motivational way. The story has heavy use of the power of "determination" and "will
...
power". But who doesn't love that?, it really gives you a great adrenaline rush when you see a character backed into a corner then suddenly through realization that he cannot lose the match wins with sheer will power. We also learn a lot about boxing, the training he goes through, the hardships, the reward and the sport in itself how its not always the strong who make it to the top.
The art of this anime was really well done, the characters were very realistic. Usually the protagonist in most shounen animes consist of a spiky headed bishounen whos extremely powerful at the start, add a mega hot romantic interest to keep the main character fighting and you've got a typical shounen. However this is not the case for Hajime no Ippo, hes just your average high school boy, there are no woman falling for him at first sight and he is not an extreme force to be reckoned with at the start either. The actual action in boxing matches was exciting to watch, it wasn't TOO unrealistic with fire coming off the fists and didn't have characters emitting super saiyan auras, but they animated good boxing movements showing both the importance of footwork and hand speed. The way they portray shadow boxing is also very realistic, as I too know the feeling when you first start shadow boxing, it looks like shit and its hard to get at first, but as you do it more it looks more fluid and cool.
The sound of this anime oh my gawd, I even use the music in this anime to motivate me in training. The OST's in this anime fill you with emotion, we feel the motivation as we see the characters training hard with montage music playing and we feel the despair as the main character is backed against the ropes as melancholic music plays in the background. The OP is very fast paced and suits the anime well, great for pumping the last reps in your workout :D.
Characters, this is where the anime truly shines. The amount of character development Ippo goes through is just phenomenal, from a kid bullied his entire school life to a professional boxer, surrounded with great friends and fans, he is taken on a journey on what it means to be strong. Also the friends he makes are just hilarious. Takamura, Aoki and Kimura are at the centre of all the comedy in this series. They each have their own absurdly humorous personalities, their pasts are both inspiring and ridiculously fun to watch, but I cannot spoil you'll have to watch it yourself.
I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, its probably not for everyone, especially women who want a bishounen to fan girl over, as well as the constant use of dick humor (yeah you'll have to watch to understand that), if you're a real man you'll enjoy this anime as much as I did.
This anime really is one of the best ones I've seen, offering a perfect blend of sport, drama, comedy and an inspiration plot. I really can't wait for the third season.
What are you doing, stop reading and watch this anime NAOW >;O
