It's hilarious when you said FMA brotherhood is too long when the first fourteen episodes are as rushed as it gets, and the action isn't as good as your usual shonen series (Watch the scenes when King Bradley gets into the action again and tell me they pale in comparison to Naruto and Bleach, I honestly doubt it)?
If that's the case, then the genre must be suffering worse than anyone had thought.
And you do know the reason why there's a lot of violence in the later half? A little something called war, explosions, fights between characters who have been built up up to be the best gods of war and as much death and destruction as possible, honestly, why hold back? War brings senseless violence, and that's never going to change.
You don't even bring up an example from the anime that could have been shorten, you just literally say it's too long and your final score makes no since, one 8 and straight 10s equals an 8 overall? Okay that's a nit pick, but when you talk about action not comparing to others, it's like you are suggesting the animation isn't up to par with other shonen, which is often associated with action.
