Just read your Steins Gate review and even though I gave the anime pretty high score myself, I can understand your point of view as well. Your review is very thorough and it seems like you have noticed and pinpointed all the great things in the show and then brought up all the not so great stuff as well. I can't disagree with anything and even I don't know why I enjoyed the show so much. It was partly too complicated and confusing to me, but I guess I just fell in love with the drama part. For me the show was definitely more about friendship and drama than about time travel, but I guess that is exactly what I enjoy.

So time travel aside, in my opinion the show was about a group of friends who got involved in something they shouldn't have and how they together tried to solve the problems and change everything back to normal. Time travel was just something that acted like a catalyst and then supported the show from shadows. In the end the characters were just kids playing around with their new exciting invention.

Anyway, I guess there is many ways to understand an anime show.. these are just my thoughts :) I liked your review though, gave it a plus :)

Dragon Ball? Lol you'll be surprised how seriously wrong you are... :P There is a reason it's rated 17+... It's one of the most unpredictable and realistic in its psychological approach show I've ever seen.

Oh yea watch Hunter x Hunter if you want to kow how a long running shounen should be made...

Having no balls in your case is probably good :P....

The good thing about Kuroko no Basuke is that most of their growth is due to their training. Like you said, the endurance training and what-not. In Prince of Tennis, however, the training is just physical training and then in the court, what do they do? Make balls disappear. I saw your plan to watch list and i recommend Gintama 100% btw. First 5 or 6 episodes are slow but then it's nonstop laughter. The serious arcs are really well done in it as well. Shed a few tears. It's one of my favorites :)

Yeah, the thing about shows like Kuroko is that it's obvious, a majority of the time who is going to win. It's not even because of who the main character is but because of how the show is set out to be. It's very similar to PoT, where if the team is losing, then they can make the Main Characters get new powers. That ends up happening every single game, which tends to annoy me a lot. If they didn't do that, Kuroko no Basuke would be a lot more interesting for me. Oh, btw, if you didn't realize, i didn't really like Prince of Tennis, lol.

Oh and btw, I read your AnoHana review and I have to agree with the "crying my eyes out" comment. Anohana was so utterly touching..
