Well I expected less from a completely mindless 4-koma adaptation, but I was genuinely surprised. The episodes are cut to half-length from a normal anime which suits really well. This way they don't have to overextend the episodes making them really boring. Characters are funny and the situations are quite random. Every episode is its own story and because the eps are so short, you won't find them repetitive.

So if you want to watch a 110% idiot eating bananas and going bananas while everybody else is trying to calm her down ... or smack her in the face, then this is for you.

Well the story is quite normal fantasy-based but with its own twist. At least I haven't seen any other anime where the hero and the daughter of deceased demon lord work together in a magical general store.

Art-style is pleasing and I didn't find any half-assed scenes.

Sound quality is nice. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad either.

Characters have some stereotypes included for example the shop manager is by nature exactly the same as in Ika musume (nice all the time but when triggered powerful enough to destroy any foe). The character development is also there which is always a plus.

Enjoyment suffers from too many bouncing/nude ... boobs-scenes which kinda annoys the viewer. Personally I like boobs but too much is just too much and it starts to get repetitive and annoying.

Overall the show is a good refresher after watching a much more darker and action-packed show.

Story
The story is quite unique and wonderful but the plot has some points when the clicheé option would have been a better choice. In my opinion the pairing in the ending was quite forced and rushed. There is a saying "if you are trying to rush love or a fart... it's going to be shit." And it looks like the relationships in this are doing just this.

Art
Pleasant and high in quality... nothing special.

Sound
Music and sounds are in sync with the anime and the quality is nice. No puberty ... teen screams etc that would ruin the mood.

Characters
Check story section. Otherwise they are well balanced in tsundere, easy going and crazy section etc.

Overall
I would have liked a different ending but the real one is somewhat okay. Basically everyone who had feelings for someone never got the person they had the feelings for. Seems like forced pairing to me but if you can tolerate this then watch this anime.

Well... this is going to be a short but critical...

First of all... the anime starts with a great starting point and the plot seems to take reasonable steps forward. The plot develops and matures over episodes which is a great plus...but those final 2 episodes ruin everything for especially those fans of happy ending (including yours truly). Not just being a bad ending, it is just bad. Everything collapses at once and from the ashes something new sprouts. The whole wasp infection is not explained and many other things are left unanswered. The viewer is left with questions like "what the f*** just happened and ... what will happen afterwards?"

I have now watched both seasons so far and my verdict might be influenced a little by the 2nd season. Well... on the point!

Story: Really stubborn and simple-minded boy is fantasizing to become the greatest general under the heavens but the road is quite rocky. I haven't read the manga so I cannot say how closely the anime follows the manga but the story telling is great.

Characters: Almost every major character or even a little lesser character has an (deadpool voice) ORIGIN STORY!!! (if you don't get it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njgqALr080U). Most of the characters are really lovable and few of the sidekicks are putting quite a ... show for the viewers.

Sound: Nothing super special. Everything is well balanced. Maybe a little too much yelling and screaming but those focus on battle so it's normal.

Animation: Huge minus for random computer rendered scenes with low fps. I almost quitted watching the series after the 1st episode because of the CGI, but am I glad that they only used it on really hard scenes.

Overall: Your Evergreen Forest God Tapio commands you to watch this anime! (Well that is not exactly what he told me in my dream but so what.. watch it!)

This was an outstanding anime to watch! Well... this kind of future is still far far away from us but it could be like our future. The main characters are quite deep and everyone of them has unique background to follow.

The main plot envelopes around Section 9, an organization protecting the country from cyber-terrorism. The characters are members of this organization and they have their bodies replaced with cybernetics at different levels. Everyone of the team has different abilities and everyone of them has an interesting backstory to watch. Their missions in the anime are quite various and the story will not get dull while ... it progresses. The story has many plot-twists and other surprises. And as a last word.. the tachikomas make the anime even more interesting and fun. Their fun little thinking sessions and other random stuff just make you smile.

I don't know why people are giving negative reviews to this series. It is somewhat related to the original Soul Eater but they are of different genre. Original Soul Eater is action/comedy and this is slice of life/comedy. I read few reviews before watching this so I was prepared for the genre change.

The only similarities between these two series are DWMA and people turning into weapons. Soul Eater NOT! is a relaxing anime you can watch without sitting at the edge of your seat and biting your nails off. It has a pleasant amount of humor but the story isn't that deep which you can ... expect from a slice of life anime. The art-style is nice and the animation is smooth but there should have been something deeper in this anime.

Final verdict: If you have watched the original Soul Eater and want something more relaxing and fun to watch or just happened to like slice of life animes in general... try this and I think you won't be disappointed.
