My absolute favorite is Wilibald Joachim von Merkatz, who I simply find fascinating. I always hoped for a gaiden episode from his past, perhaps to explain the one upsmanship between Staaden and him that led to this famous sneer:"

It was during the Rosenritter arc of the first gaiden. He managed to hold his own against SCHENKOPP and from there charmed his way into my heart

yeah, Jigoro-san is the awesomest grandpa-character ever!
