Hey, there's not much to know about me. I'm just a twenty-one year old guy who started watching anime mid-2012 and has been hooked ever since. I'm rather open-minded, but I tend to prefer comedies, SoL, romance, and dialogue-heavy/character-driven adventure stories from personal experience.
I've never liked numerical scoring as I feel it takes something that is unquantifiable and tries to assign an arbitrary value to it. I don't feel that I can comfortably do such a thing. I know that this makes compatibility matches impossible without a discussion, but even then that might not necessarily be a bad thing. It's a choice I put a lot of thought into, so please respect my decision.
I'll try to be as respectful as possible, and I hope we get along.
My avatar's image taken from Zerochan, and is absolutely adorable. :D
NOTE: If you leave a comment on my profile and have comments disabled on yours, your comment will be deleted. I don't appreciate not being able to defend my own opinions, so this is necessary. I must do this for even positive comments, though. There's no special treatment for this type of thing, and flattery will not change my point of view.

Look, I'll remove the review, if only to stop getting notifications from overly-sensitive children, like the other guy who told me to kill myself.
You have a good day yourself.
> We haven't really interacted in a while, how've you been?
I know! And that's a shame.
I've been doing very well, thank you for asking. While I won't get too personal, my life is going more than swell. Wonderful job, new home, and in good health. Can't ask for much more, really. :D
(Okay, except for Chu2Koi Season 3. Because *man* do I want that in my life more than anything. :3)
> Your reviews never really make the front page of Reddit anymore...
It depends!
To be honest, the frequency is SLIGHTLY lower than in the past, but it's actually just about the same as it has always been.
The biggest factor is popularity -- KonoSuba is known more than, say, Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm, so the former's review will more than likely perform better. Then there is the length. My reviews have gotten somewhat longer than they used to, but that's because I have more to say with my analysis and critique. My tardiness is a factor, too. I'm a bit behind season-wise, but I plan on getting caught up as quick as I can!
There are other factors, like what time I post it or what score I give the show, but that's more for me to worry about. In short, just know that, regardless of me reaching the front page or not, I will always give 110% and then some with my writings!!! :)
> ...so I haven't been keeping up with them. Sorry, man.
You have nothing to apologize for!
You have always been a supporter of my material as well as being a good friend of mine. That has never changed.
I don't expect *anyone* to constantly follow every single piece/review/what-have-you that I do. Meaning, it's more appropriate for me to thank YOU for all of the kind words and support thus far in my anime/writing career.
So, thank you, DryGuy! :)
> I was surprised by this and wanted to tell you how shitty your taste is
Ha!
Then I don't think you will be happy when you see my initial thoughts on the latest season in my "Should You Watch It?" thread. ;)
(That thread goes live hopefully tonight!)
> Keep up the solid work, and pleasant attitude you always have, bro.
Will do -- on both fronts! :D
Edit: Grammar!
I know such woes all too well. :3
> I consider it a shitty show, but man did you rip it apart.
Ahh, Fafnir. Winter 2015 was a strange time because there were so many good anime (Shirobako, YLiA, Nanatsu no Taizai, YKA) and so many bad anime (Tokyo Ghoul Root A, Isuca, Fafnir). Fafnir still sticks out in my mind as a show that does almost everything wrong that it sets out to do; I feel the same with it now as I did then!
> I'm also a bit surprised you didn't enjoy Hibike! Euphonium or Shirobako as much as Your Lie in April (a show I dropped due to disinterest).
I HATE goodbyes. I don't like seeing people off or watching someone leave because that might be the last time I see them. Not that it only has to be in the death sense, but life might just get in the way or they might move halfway across the country or any other form of "circumstances keep us apart." YLiA had that in droves which crushed me emotionally, with me "enjoying" it because of that. It was able to resound with more so than the other two. Shirobako I totally get -- as a working man myself, the dynamic and situations make sense. But it didn't impact me on a deeply emotional level. Same for H!E, but worse than Shirobako because I was never a band person and I never connected with Kumiko's troubles (I'm a "Reina" myself!).
> I just find it fascinating how we appear to have similar anime that we're interested in, yet have rather different outlooks on what parts we find value in.
I agree! It is quite amazing to see the ways in which you, I, and everyone else approach the anime we watch on a daily basis, coming to wildly different conclusions based on a myriad of factors. :3
> Maybe I should start my analyses back up for discussion...
Most definitely! More discussion-based posts are always good to see and are something I will always encourage.
> Anyway, keep up the good work, Banjo, and I'll see you around.
I will do just that! I am almost done with my Spring 2015 reviews, with Summer 2015 ending just around the corner, so I will be trying my darndest to continue to provide pieces that everyone can find value in.
And I'll see you soon, too! :)

If one show is constantly praised as a masterpiece, expectations are raised high and viewers are likely to be more critical instead of coming up to it with an open mind to enjoy it. It's also the same when told that a show "will make you laugh/cry".
This is why I don't use the score system either nor want to say much about a show. Most of the time I will only answer if something its worth one's time or not, and let the viewer reach their own conclusion.
I do exactly the same format as you, no scores but a little note in the tags if I feel there's something noteworthy to say. I didn't think anyone else did that.
