My ratings are strictly based on enjoyment where a score of 5 represents the breaking line between anime I like and anime I don't like. From there, scores are curved following a normal distribution so that my favourites (and least favourites) clearly stand out for others to peek at, because I tend to find more anime I enjoy from users who have similar tastes to mine than I do following general ratings or reviews myself.
Although I'm open to most any genre, my favourites are slice of life, romance and most importantly drama, in contrast with comedy, my least favourite by far. However, regardless of their genre, what I tend to prefer are grounded character interactions and development. It's also important that neither the soundtrack nor the voice acting be bad as I value the audio experience quite a bit, the rest I can manage.

I miss it already.
Anyway, just wanted to say thanks and keep up the amazing work!! <3
This is both great and a complete surprise, hahaha! Thank you so much, it was eating me as I couldn't recall who was gathering those or if they ever got posted and I somehow missed them now. I tried to search stuff but the sub search is kinda useless with comments and then google failed me, too, since I couldn't recall how the whole effort was called or what I wrote.
I'm surprised you've kept those! The FTF one that is. I remember Spira's Josei one and the other demographics one. They were both great!
Hahah, I like how we always bump into each other when these characters are involved!
God bless anybody that decides to translate a novel. Scanlating manga is chore enough.
Oh okay. It's actually one of the two shows I bother to rewatch every several months (the other being Chihaya).
Alicia and Akari have a lovely relationship. My favourite part of it might be in the Arietta OVA. Until that episode, Alicia always seems to be this otherworldly 'Snow White', but she shows her own weaknesses and struggles that she went through as a new Prima to Akari. As somebody that's always worked with children (coaching and summer camps), I've always felt like they've had an almost parent-child relationship with Alicia always subtly guiding (and not forcing or criticizing) Akari's choices. Her revealing her own feelings and insecurities is kind of like when you grow up and become and adult, you kind of realize that your parents aren't these superheroes that can do anything and everything. I found that episode kind of grounding and really pretty in that way.
I've always just ordered my favourites alphabetically. My favouritess are basically characters I empathize and relate to in terms of personality. Oh that's a shame about that manga. I'll keep an eye out for it to read, if you recommend it. :3
I'll definitely read that later, I think all the motivation I have towards reading any novel is saved for Spice and Wolf haha. It seems to be the struggle of watching anime adaptation of novels (I'm looking at you Saiunkoku, Twelve Kingdoms, and Spice and Wolf).
It's probably the same for me actually, I don't know many people who have seen Erin period, though most people I speak to regularly on here have seen Chihaya. In fact, I only watched Erin recently. I think a month or two ago I finally decided to watch it as one of my good friends (who also wrote the second Erin review on its anime page) had been suggesting it to me for a while. Episode 7 of Erin is one of the only episodes of anime that I've kept saved to my HD after watching it, along with all the seasons and specials of Aria.
Really? I thought many people have Origination ranked above Natural and Animation, in that order. My favourite is actually Natural. I wrote a really long review on it on my MAL somewhere, but generally I find Natural to make up the majority of my favourite part of Aria. Natural introduces Aria's cast and their respective personalities and relationships really gently. It's almost like we get to know them progressively, as if we were friends with them--sort of a slice of their life literally. Anyways, Aria is my favourite anime franchise by far. I'm glad to see someone else that enjoys it and it is always interesting discussing it, as everyone that love Aria seems to have different reasons to and seem to have different favourite moments. My favourites are episodes 5, 6, and 9 of Natural (the one with the cherry blossom tree, the one where Alice doesn't want to go to a party, and the one where Akari lights up Aria Company with candles).
I don't think I saw your username on forums actually, as I don't use forums at all. I only really comment on profiles (or I did, I don't have as much time to anymore).
