I was introduced to anime faily recently (1-2 years ago); it's not something I have the privilege of experiencing nostalgia for.
I most highly value characters and their dynamics/relationships; plot, worldbuilding and art are also powerful draws, but if they fail with the characters I find it difficult to continue. However; I'm easy to please; I really enjoy anime stereotypes, provided they're used consistently without being repetitive. As a direct consequence of that (and the fact that I'm very easily wounded empathetic person) I tend to avoid action/drama anime and instead feast upon light hearted slice of life, romcom or moe shows.
Oh; and I'm on #TeamOnodera, Sub, SAO was subpar, and Pokemon > Digimon. I think that covers the basics :D (but I should clarify, a good dub can beat a sub, SAO was actually quite fun, Chitoge is the driving force in Nisekoi and I honestly haven't seen enough Digimon to compare the two properly. See, I'm a reasonable person).
Also; the scores I give anime on this site are based on how much I /enjoyed/ it at the time I first watched it; not on how good I thought it actually was. Both perspectives may have changed in retrospect; particularly about series I saw when I had only just began watching and was unfamiliar with most of the character/story cliches.
