Deitra-Animus,

I have a couple of older cousins (and they're siblings) who are allergic to "nonsense", but sometimes I can't help myself and I forget their disdain for such things. ~,~'

Ever since my BBSing days in the mid to late 1990s, I have found forums to be stifling. I've found wall comments to be much more appealing and if a few organizing features were incorporated, I think it would be the nearest fit to my vague ideal.

I initially saw walls in a few bulleting board services. They were usually external addons. There was just that one wall that all visitors wrote in.

I suppose guest books of blogs and geocities personal web pages were also a kind of wall.

The friendster testimonial mechanism was a type of wall.

The first interpersonal messaging wall I encountered was in myspace. The next in facebok. The third was here in MAL.

Ahahaha! Thanks. I use dried parsley in lieu of garlic. Doesn't have the same taste, but it works for the few viands I need garlic. (Of course, I ever learn how to make vegetarian sausages, I probably will need actual garlic and garlic powder wouldn't be enough either.) A rather poor substitute for onions is celery powder.

Aww, that makes me feel a tad old. :P I played those games I mentioned in the DOS before Windows 95 or even win 3.x became available.

It would be nice if there was the one tracker for tracking just about everything. Oh, wait. That sounds like a feature of my pet project. Sigh. Who knows when it will get finished? I've been getting sick way too often for the past couple of years. >,<

Deitra-Animus,

Optimus, Rodimus, Animus... It was a random impression. Sorry for being silly. ~,~'

I've been planning to use tags for the simple messaging system I've been trying to design.

I normally don't use garlic and onions to make my vegetarian cuisine Taoist-friendly (which I believe might be a success factor if I ever run my own vegetarian restaurant in the far future). Those two spices don't keep well and I'm only cooking for myself so they tend to dry before I can use them all. Also, their market pricing tend to be rather unstable. When I'm visiting my parents and I do the "side dishes", I compromise and use them sparingly.

I remember seeing a fullblown Flash-based clone of Rick Dangerous. Did you ever play Hard Hat Mack or Moon Patrol?

What an odd coincidence! I pretty much had the same set of experiences. I've traced a lot of them by now--two years was a long enough time to do them by trickles--but most are still waiting in the "on hold" section. I might vaguely remember reading something, but I won't know where I stopped reading that something. >,<

Deitra-Animus,

Now that I think about it, your username would fit right in Cybertron. :B

Tropes tend to have rather long names, right? (Please correct me if my notion is wrong.) If so, then they won't be practical for use as tags.

Can't use butter though. I'm lactose intolerant. I just put oil, usually soya oil.

Did you ever get to play Joust? It's a "DOS era" game where you ride ostriches and joust on platforms over lava and your opponents turn into eggs when you hit them. You have to step on those or they hatch and become active enemies again. >,<

Deitra-Animus,

Do you suffer any withdrawal symptoms from cutting back on your tvtropes dosage? :B

I remember when I was playing Civ Rev DS too much such that I would actually dream playing it. Even in those dreams, I was also complaining about the terrible AI. :P

Not just the eyes, but the tubelike things are poisonous. The green stuff is poisonous. Solanine (not to be confused with the manga of Asano Inio) develop when the potatoes are exposed to sunlight. Hmm, I don't skin 'em. I just wash them very, very well. Plenty of vitamins in the skin after all. I don't have good knife skills so I'm liable to lose too much as well. Hoho! ^o^

I add dried parsley and/or dried basil to my mashed potatoes. :) (For this, I separate the raw skin and use them for some other viand.)

Gourmet anime/manga I am following or have finished:

Deitra-Animus,

Tvtropes is quite addictive. >,<

Potatoes can be poisonous. I had this odd notion that it had to be planted (as in rooted to the ground or still in its hydroponics tank) for that to happen. One of the scenes in the ongoing Maoyu Maou Yusha anime made me reconsider that idea. I'll have to research later to see if it just needs to be exposed to sunlight for a certain duration.

I like potatoes, too. They're so versatile. (I just don't like how their prices can swing so much.)

Hmm, have you ever tried reading any gourmet manga?

you have an average collection by my standards. you started recently or don't having time for this? anyway it's hard find material for collection, because it's not information as anime or manga.

anime... anime isn't suitable for discussions, i think. it's something person, private. but themes around anime industry is created for this.
