This show was ok but I don't think it was as good as the first season.

It continues were the last left off. The only real changes are the intro and outro. The first half of this anime is a couple of background stories of people you already know. Some are good and really touching, others aren't as good. Then they finish school and after that it gets a bit boring. They just live a normal every day life, nothing interesting. At this point I was considering to stop watching but I'm glad I didn't because the second half is really good. It isn't divided in read more

This has a pretty good story. The whole series is divided in arcs of about 4 episodes. Some arcs are better than others depending on your taste: some are more horror, others thriller or even detective. Most arcs take place at the same time but some events are altered which causes the outcome to change.

The dialogue is really well voiced. You can easily feel a change in atmosphere, subtle hints or threats.

More realistic art might have improved the effect of this anime but other than that I have no remarks on animation. Some scenes had some very fitting effects.

I was really shocked after watching the read more

After the first two episodes, I felt like I had to force myself to continue watching.

The story isn't very entertaining. It's just a journey of a couple of female warriors. You'd expect some battles but no. There are a few but those are really badly animated. One person swings a lance (too slow to be realistic) and another flies away. This reminded me of the fact that this anime was originally a visual novel.

The dialogue can sometimes be funny but the humor is usually too obvious. A few episodes ended with everyone laughing. That just seems so unrealistic and the thing they're laughing about isn't read more

The plot's simple and not that important. The events in each episode are maybe a little cliche but they're so well bended to fit the characters of this anime.

The dialogue is hilarious and sometimes really absurd because of the diversity in characters: there's a monkey, a shark, a giant squid, even the terminator, ... I didn't like all characters as much but most of them are a great addition to the cast.

The animation is good as well, switching style and background at just the right moment. One minor remark is the blood which is strangely rainbow colored. It makes it more noticeable but I had read more

Durarara showed me how myths and legends could still exist in modern cities.

The story's good and mysterious. Many things are only revealed later which makes a seemingly normal schoollife into a modern version of an old tale. This was perfectly summarized by the words of one of the characters near the end of the series:
"There's no such thing as a normal person."

De converstations are pretty deep and sometimes I get the feeling there's even more meaning you can't see the first time you watch. Chatroom sessions can be important to understand the story better. The problem is they're not always voiced and you have to read more

Acchi Kocchi is a light-hearted comedy that resolves around the innocent love of two high school students.

What I liked:
- Relationship development
- Cute art

What I didn't like:
- Character's background stories are never revealed.
- Too many nosebleeds

Both the art and humour resemble lucky star but unlike that anime some romance is present in every episode.
It's refreshing to see a show that doesn't overemphasize the female body. A lot of blood was lost through the nose during this anime though, sometimes for no good reason, but at least the cause was always some girls getting excited over romantic lines.

Although the characters can be a bit predictable they read more

At first I thought this anime was kind of weird, like most people would, and up till the end it still was but once I realized I shouldn't try to compare this with other series, I saw that it was good in its own style.

Each character's background story is good and mysterious. It takes a while before you fully understand what's going on. It's a detail but I liked how they changed the intro depending on the arc.

Bakemonogatari's trump card is its dialogues. Sometimes they're a bit fast, maybe a bit complicated but they're usually interesting and even funny.

This show uses some weird animation and read more

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a good show but to me it isn't as good as the original FMA.

The main reason for this statement is the 'changes' in the story. I know this series supposedly follows the manga but that's probably my problem. I've seen some shonen anime and the plot usually isn't the best thing about it, especially the ending. I liked the mysteries and the logic in the first FMA better.

I didn't watch all the episodes in one go because I thought the first 14 episodes were really bad. Up untill those episodes the story is the same as the original and they probably read more

Clannad (Anime) add (All reviews)
A good anime but maybe not really my style.

The background stories of the characters are really good, only Tomoyo was a bit disappointing. An other good element is that the background explanation of a girl can sometimes be many episodes apart from the introduction of that girl which gives you the time to first "get to know her" so you can fully sympathise with her.

The dialogue can be really good and funny but the comedy parts are too far apart for my taste.

Nothing special was done with the animation which is good because it would only ruin it.

Even though it wasn't humorous enough to be read more

Baccano takes place in a historical setting but it isn't completely realistic. At first it's hard to follow and I still don't fully understand the position of the first episode in the story or some of the mysteries.

The story is really good. All the characters and plots are connected somehow which makes it interesting to keep watching to solve more of the mysteries. I should warn you though. Pay attention to the year in which something takes place. I think I was too relaxed when I started watching resulting in it being like some characters where in multiple places at the same time.

The dialogue isn't read more
