Yo nice to see a fellow fan of Pokemon ^^

Great. I still recommend getting the 1.5 collection and watching the extended and revamped cutscenes from it. As a story, its one of my favourites.

The only game I haven't played from the series is Birth by Sleep, so I'm looking forward to 2.5 Remix. Also all the collections have the final mix versions, so I still need to get around to playing them.

And yep, that's about right for Soul Eater. They might decide to do it after Bones has less series on their plate to work on, but probably nothing until Soul Eater NOT is done with. And I'm not sure that 65-70 will be enough. FMA brotherhood only got that much done because they packed every episode full of content. I thought the same thing when I watched Baccano! I don't think Soul Eater did that. It spaced it out more, so unless they speed it up, I doubt they will get around to a proper revamp at a decent length. In any case not happening now.

And I agree with that statement about NOT. As I said, I've read the first two manga volumes and you will enjoy it when it gets dark. I'm looking forward to it.:)

Great. Feel free to ask me about any of the other manga I mentioned.

I know Beserk is the highest rated manga on MAL so I will try it, but only if I feel like it. I'll probably prepare myself with more of Higurashi and Umineko.

And for what its worth enjoy Kingdom Hearts. I still recommend playing all the games if you haven't already. Especially if they have the two collections.

And excellent. I will get around to that. Just trying to get Yellow from Library. It's just taking a while.

And I know about Soul Eater. I saw the anime. As for the manga if they tried adapting it again, but properly it would be about thrice as long, when you compare it to Fullmetal Alchemist.

Besides, I'm enjoying NOT, since they never released volume 3 over here and volume 4 just came out in Japan. The anime has a nice intro, and its a good setup. The end of the second volume is when it gets serious. Looking forward to that part in the anime.

Glad to hear it. I should look into the manga to see if its passed the anime end point.

I agree. She's one of my favourites. I'll have a listen of those when I can.

Glad you agree with FMA. I've seen the anime of Soul Eater and will get around to the manga this summer when I have time. As for the rest:

I'll try Beserk eventually, but I usually don't like overly bloody or gory series unless for a good reason.

I will try the Nisekoi manga when I can. But after the anime finishes.

For Kingdom Hearts. I read the first one and I felt it was far too rushed for 4 volumes. The game had much better pacing. 358/2 days was brilliant as the movie format in the 1.5 collection. The manga may be funny, but from what I've seen, anything involving the Disney characters is drawn badly. Maybe I'll get around to it since its only 5 volumes, but not right now.
Still have to read Chain of Memories. As for II, its good, but it was on hiatus for a while and it may have the same problem as the first manga. Maybe cutting out subplots will help, but I'm not sure.

I'm working through Pokemon.
I've read RBG arc, working on Yellow, and I already finished HGSS, and I've read the first volume of B/W. I'm looking forward to the GSC and RSE arcs.

As for the last two. I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying Claymore. Has a realistic style and is bloody, but uses violence conservatively. Not to mention that it uses strong female protagonists and doesn't always stay on the same protagonist (at least not in the beginning). I think its trying to be a shounen focusing on female characters and it ultimately succeeds, but I'll need to read more than 4 volumes before I make a decision. I've heard the anime cuts the manga short at the end, so I'm looking forward to seeing the whole story.

And Pandora Hearts. This is the one series my library didn't get, so I've been collecting it. It's like a mix of Tegami Bachi and D.Gray-man. It uses the Wonderland world and setting in a very different way, and it has the beauty of Tegami Bachi and the darkness and demon lore of D.Gray-man. Also, the main characters all have darkness or broken elements to them, which keeps the series dark tone almost always. After 3 volumes I am very impressed. Looking forward to more. I hear there is a major plot twist eventually. Its at 22 volumes, so I wouldn't be surprised if it wraps up sooner or later. I mean Soul Eater was 25 and FMA was 27. I will read as much of this series as I can this summer.

And that's that. Feel free to ask about any of the other series.

Yep. In terms of the demon and hero trend, its moved from series to series, but this was my favourite.
Hataraka Maou-sama was hilarious and entertaining. Keep watching it.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha had some character problems, but it had a great world, interesting subplots, and one of the best speeches from a side-character that I've ever seen in anime.

Yuushiba (shortened title) tried to emulate this, but it was just a useless series that failed at even trying to be a harem. Occasionally had a good moment or two, but not worth watching.

Don't know of any other series following this trend yet. And moving on to the other trend I mentioned. I guess I'll watch. If I can survive Nisemonogatari, I can survive anything.
And good to hear. I'll watch it eventually and remember the opening.

As for manga good choices. I'm reading these ones at my own pace or whenever a new chapter comes out:
Fullmetal Alchemist (Finished. The perfect Shounen that becomes so good, that it ascends beyond the level of shounen. This is perfection. The manga did everything right, but the best in my opinion was that no character was ever forgotten, time flows naturally and characters change naturally over the series, and they used their villains well and made them last).
Byousoku 5 Centimeter (The manga, which I still have to read, expands on the movie's storyline.)
Fairy Tail
Tegami Bachi (Letter Bee)
Pandora Hearts
Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist)
Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
Toaru Majutsu no Index
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-Chan
Nisekoi (I'll get into the manga of this later. I'm enjoying the anime right now. Brilliant animation from the same people who made Bakemonogatari and Madoka Magica.)
Pokemon Special (Yellow Arc)
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai: Matsuribayashi-hen (Last arc. Distirbing, but the mystery is worth the rollercoaster ride. Manga far out-surpasses the anime. Just read the arcs in order. Plus the manga only arc, Beyond-Midnight is my favourite arc in the series.
Umineko no Naku Koro ni - Episode 3: Banquet of the Golden Witch (Not as disturbing, and crafted much better than its predecessor above. Manga is also better than the anime, since the anime never adapted the second half. Plus its better made and the mystery element is a lot stronger and better used. It's not so much about who the murderer is, but instead about how they did it and committed the crime. Not to mention its a very complex and philosophical brain food at times, which is good. Highly recommended. But only the official translations. Online fantranslations do not compare. I checked).
Attack on Titan & Before the Fall (I like Before the Fall more because the main character surprisingly feels more human).

If you want any specifics on these series, feel free to ask about the ones I didn't elaborate on. They're all good and amazing in their own way.

No worries. It happens.

And good choices. I'll get around to the Fate series after I play the visual novel. I hear a companion series is being released in the Fall.

And yep. Nisekoi is entertaining. Love the new intro and outro.
And I highly recommend those two.
Chuunibyou is both hilarious and heartfelt (in the first season) and the companion movie is an excellent addition. I've heard the second season isn't as good, but it has some moments.
As for Hataraka Maou-sama, you'll enjoy a hilarious series with great characters and a brilliant play off the demon story-line that's been circulating for a while. Enjoy.

And I'm tempted to watch that for that reason and the song is done by Lia (whose work I enjoyed back in the Key/Kyoto Animation works, Angel Beats, and Sword Art Online.
However, from what I've read, I'll probably dislike the sister character. I REALLY hate how that's becoming a craze in Japan ever since Nisemonogatari. It's not normal.

Anyway, I'll still have a look at it and other series. So what manga are you reading?
I can give a few good recommendations.
Shining_Falcon Apr 18, 2014 7:49 PM
Hi there. No need to resend a comment twice. I'm busy studying for exams. I reply when I can.

Anyway, no problem. As for the new season I'm watching Isshuukan Friends (One Week Friends), Fairy Tail (2014), Soul Eater NOT, Gokukoku no Brynhildr, Black Bullet, Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san.

I've tried, but don't really like Sidonia no Kishi or Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to. Sidonia had a great manga and the 3D anime style suits it, but I think the flaws of the series (beginning and pacing) are more subtle in the manga. It has a good opening at least. I'll decide later if I'll watch it.
Mangaka is just a short-episode excuse for a harem series. It has some relatively funny moments and a good outro, but I don't think I'll watch it any more.

I might decide to watch, but haven't tried yet: Atelier Escha & Logy ~Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi~, Hitsugi no Chaika, Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin, Selector Infected WIXOSS, Mekakucity Actors, No Game No Life, and Mushishi Zoku Shou (If I can finish the first season).

From Last season, I'm still watching Nisekoi and Tonari no Seki-kun.
Nisekoi is hilarious and very stylish, but all the subbers are slow with releasing it. Still its entertaining. Although Tonari no Seki-kun is made of entertaining scenes. Short series that is ridiculous except by anime logic standards. Has some funny moments and is an excellent watch for a short series.

Apart from that I'm reading a crap ton of manga I bought, which won't take me long to read. I'll update and buy as I go.

Thanks for the friend request, welcome to MAL as of a month ago, and glad you're such a fan of Fairy Tail, Pokemon, Nisekoi, Sword Art Online, and Angel Beats.

Watching anything from the new season apart from Fairy Tail?

And awesome profile pic. I've seen it before. One of the best pokemon wallpapers out there.
