Here we go again with another isekai with super powerful MC to dive into, but to keep things fresh, we need tweaks. So, what’s the tweaks here? Apparently in exchange of his superpower our hero was reborn not as a human, so to speak: he’s incapable of speaking human language, the other gimmicks is that he was cursed to be so so ugly to the eye of humans. Remember that SpongeBob episodes where everyone ‘s running away from him because he had a smelly breath? that’s the kind of gimmicks that the show goes into. Isekais are a dime a dozen, so you do need read more

Odd taxi is pretty cool, the series was mature without being a gore and sex fest, portrayed a setting that was slightly imaginative but very conceivable, so that this setting could be discussed in earnest, and delivered, moreover, exactly what fans were expecting - well, many of them, in any case. All thing considered the presentation almost reminded me as if Rockstar games was behind it especially Odokawa’s shirt style was kind of the same with Tommy Vercetti’s.

What I like about the series is that I found the writing here was strong, the show really built up to anything since the very read more

I was planning to watch this movie on theatre somewhere in February but somehow, I didn’t manage to, as someone who grew up with the franchise and also someone who likes the first film, I was really interested to see this movie. After watching it, I think the movie was decent as a continuation of the first film but there’s something lacking that makes it better or even on par with its predecessor. But my advice to anyone who still wants to watch the films; watch it till the end. There’re issues with narrative but there’s also roller-coaster ride of emotions along the way.

Akudama Drive intended to be a lovable mess, and clearly went for a 'coolness' factor that would probably click with certain types of audience but spares little effort in doing so. Throwing some I’d say ‘bombastic’ and vibrant presentation of futuristic and cyberpunk aesthetic, in addition with slicks characters and insane, over-the-top gimmicks. This is what true fanservice is meant to be: adding something that pleases the fans without disturbing plot, pacing or the mood.

Stripping the show to from its basic it is a clear example of genre: an ordinary person runs into group of ragtag affable rebels that take her in, slowly gets to read more

For a studio that is well-known for handling many many anime featuring lots of cute girl, Ikebukuro West Gate Park (IWGP hereafter) is certainly a surprising line-up for studio Doga Kobo and for that reason alone I think it was interesting to keep an eye for this series. Whether or not it’s your cup of tea — whether or not you enjoy 24 minutes of angst every week — there’s one thing going for this anime: it wants to dream a little bigger. The bottom line here isn’t about money nor is it about broad appeal. This isn’t a show engineered from the ground up read more

Once upon a .. .' Stop! That's too corny.
How about 'One Saturday afternoon'? That's slightly better,
but why not begin more directly, like saying Who is the beautiful girl wearing a Brooch? That’s right it’s me. OK, now we're off

Majo No Tabitabi or Wandering Witch is a story that almost tells itself in its title. It is not so hard to imagine what kind of anime this will going to be; a fairy tale stories about young prodigy witch, traveling from country to country, meets new people and new situations in every episode. The anime is exactly as you'd expect, and more, but it read more

The Misfit of Demon King Academy is yet another seasonal dose of uninspiring wish fulfillment series that we get every single season, you should not be surprised, therefore, to learn that this is an adaptation of a light novel series. You know, what if there aren’t even actual writers behind these stories generic? What if there’s just a very clever ad lib program cranking these novels out? It’s full of modern tropes and an algorithm to arrange said tropes into all the derivative dreck we know and love. Why, all you’d really have to do is fill in the names!.

Anyway, this is one of read more

Despite its somewhat Kooky Premise, Kano Kari is an anime that we already seen a number of times before: the story of the budding and slowly progressing harem series between sad sack losers surrounded by ideal female typecast, with all the obligatory comedy and erotic scene that is only very rarely funny that we've come to expect of such a story.

Things are bizarre and uncomfortable from the start. Most of it comes down the plot being mostly coincidence based and so stupid; where everything is just small world with Kazuya and his rental girlfriend Chizuru; from enrolled in the same campus, to living in read more

This review covers the entirety of oregairu series (this means that there may be spoilers for those unfamiliar with the series)

Looking back at the anime, I feel like Oregairu series was more evolution than revolution of school rom-com genre, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The series is content to make small tweaks to the usual formula and try to elevate it. It was fortunate enough to have all its book volume to be adapted in anime forms, so as did not met the usual problem of ‘hanging’ adaptation albeit taking a quite long time, but it’s a long story that managed to finished gracefully.

Deca Dence, alias if you don’t like the first episode, watch the second one.

An Original anime about humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction, Deca Dence deserves some credit for injecting some creativity and originality into post-apocalyptic story when it feels like everything has already been done with the genre.

The opening sequence is vile and everything you’ve ever wanted from a series about survival stories. Right off the bat, we get to see our heroine Natsume lose her arm. Her father tries to comfort her, but this is the last time that she’ll ever seen him again. 90% of the world’s read more
