When talking about flavor, you generally think of food and how it tastes. But this concept can also be applied to forms of art, in this case, manga and Jimi Na Kensei is severely lacking. Actually, let me rephrase that; Jimi Na Kensei... has comparable flavor to a soggy saltine cracker. The characters are so one dimensional it hurts, the story is laughably bad, and the art is just...ok? Jimi Na Kensei... simply lacks any flavor; it’s extremely bland, boring, and uninteresting. Even for lovers of fantasy and isekai-like manga, I urge you to avoid this. It’s just a waste of time.

I'll try to keep this quick; I have no idea why I decided to watch Knights & Magic. It's below 7.5 (my usual score margin for shows), it's got mechs (which I tend to avoid), and it looked awful. Yet, I still decided to watch it. I wasn't wrong. Low and behold, Knights & Magic turned out to be complete garbage (though I still enjoyed it...somehow). The characters are copy & paste cutouts of stereotypes with no unique personality elements. You can tell how they will act for the entire series based on 5 minutes. The story was about as barebones and stereotypical as the read more

Is this a good manga? No. No, it is not. While not terrible, it offers NOTHING that you haven't seen somewhere else. If you've read enough manga, you know what I'm talking about when I say Shounen copy & paste. Or maybe that's just me, I dunno. If there was a Shounen manga formula, I wouldn't be surprised. So much Shounen manga is so unoriginal and boring and lacks any form of originality. It's like the author comes up with an interesting idea, then puts the idea into the most boring and unoriginal template and bam, shitty shounen manga. Pochi Kuro is included in this. read more

I don't get the hype behind Quanzhi Fashi. I have heard several people label it as "an amazing anime" and I begrudgingly watched it (if you didn't know, not a huge fan of manhua). Oh and let down I was indeed. Like most manhua, the story and background was shounen copy and paste trash. The story was predictable and boring, sometime's being stupid enough to get me angry at just how dumb it was. Much of the world was poorly explained or not explained at all, and you are left to try and figure out what is going on, which would be fine if it read more

I'm going to be frank, I hate isekai manga. Well...not really. For those of you who don't know, isekai is a subgenre of anime that basically means the protagonist is reborn in a new world. Some examples are Kono Suburashii, Drifters, and Tate No Yuusha No Nariagami. While isekai itself is not bad, the vast majority of authors who write isekai manga, for some reason, all collectively write the same thing. Have you ever hated how Shounen anime and manga all use the same tropes over and over again without changing anything? Isekai manga is basically like that, yet somehow worse. It's a genre a read more

An epic. A long poem that chronicles the events and deeds of legendary heroes. There are few in anime and manga that truly meet this description. Survival is one of the few manga I have read that, I think, hits that bar. But why? And how? I don't think I can give an answer to either. It is simply a feeling, a raw emotion that cannot be put into mere words. To experience it, you just have to read it for yourself. I cannot promise that you will find Survival to be a good experience, or that the quality is of the highest tier, but read more

Wotaku Ni Koi Wa Muzukashii was a minor letdown for me. I was mildly interested in the concept and decided to give it a try. In the first few chapters, I found the characters to be quite entertaining and mildly interesting at worst, so I thought I had found a new read. Except as I continued, I was sorely let down by the lack of plot development. The story is extremely slow and monotonous without anything new or interesting. While the characters did develop a little, it did not make up for the lack of plot. Of course, I could be entirely wrong. At the read more

Origin (Manga) add (All reviews)
Origin is not a very good manga. The characters are not very well developed (or maybe that's due to there only being 38 chapters) except for maybe Origin. The story itself isn't amazing either, often only reaching mediocre, and is mostly cheese. The art is good, but nothing exceptional. So why do I rate this series a 7?

Because I found it to be an extremely fun read

While Origin lacks in story and characters, it makes up somewhat with the action. The action is on a level I haven't experienced much in the world of manga. "Turning pages" ruins the flow for me, but not read more

Alderamin of the Sky (Manga) was somewhat of a disappointment for me. I started reading it after watching the anime, and I was expecting the manga to be better. To my surprise, I found it to be worse. The anime was far more fleshed out with the story and the characters, along with extra content that the manga needed. Also, some events seemed completely meaningless in the manga in which the anime had made meaning off (ex: Kanna). Overall, the manga I found to be just OK. However I am not saying the manga is bad, it just missed my expectations. My recommendation is to read more

Disclaimer: I rate anime and manga on the pure enjoyment factor since that is what I look for in anime/manga (what's the point if it's not fun?). If some other factor(s) heavily affect(s) my enjoyment of said anime/manga I will mention so. Also I hate typing long reviews so this won't be that long. Now into the review.

The first two episodes were probably the best. They introduced the cast and how all this stuff works. In fact, the first two episodes were mildly amusing. The problem? The next 22 episodes. The entire show repeats itself. Each battle takes two episodes and read more
