It could be one of those do as I say not as I do type deals.
"Me (over the phone)" I don't know if I can do this.
"You" *munch munch* You got this man, don't give up. *munch*
"Me" I'm gonna break out, I just know it.
"You" No your not, just hang in there buddy. *crunch munch*
"Me" What's that noise?
"You" *crunch crunch* Nothing *munch munch gulp*

Yeah, outside of work I haven't been doing much of anything lately, so lazy. haha

I know I'm just some random person on the internet but if you ever need to get something off your chest about anything at all, just PM me so it isn't visible to everyone, I probably can't do anything to directly help you but sometimes for me at least it just helps to have someone to listen to what I have to say when it all gets too much.
I know you probably have people who are closer to you to help in that regard but I thought I would make the offer all the same.
If you mean lounging about then yes I have had my hands full.XD
theshanesaw Nov 28, 2017 5:58 PM
Thank you , I appreciate it.
You can be my sponsor, if I think about breaking out I will message you and you can talk me down from the ledge. haha

That is very true, there are a lot of things that just don't really have the same demand here as in other countries, certain aspects of gaming come to mind.

I haven't gotten to it yet as I finished off the last 2 seasons of Durarara!! and then watched both seasons of Ajin.
I'm doing well thanks, how about you?
Have you been getting up to much lately?
theshanesaw Nov 23, 2017 8:30 PM
I have been making an effort lately to eat healthier and to cut back on other unhealthy things, so I can't regress now.
I haven't even had any coke in the last few days and as someone who was drinking 5 or 6 cans every day it was a bit of a challenge to get started, I have switched to V8 juice but I still need to regulate how much I drink.

I finished binging Yakitate! a few days ago and then went on to Food Wars which as a lot of similarities and was even better.
Their is a ton of fan service in the show but it is used in a way that enhances the comedy rather than just for the regular reason so don't let that turn you off trying it out sometime if you are interested in shows like Yakitate! Japan.
Unfortunately their isn't much market in Australia for the fancier stuff as seen in Yakitate! but for home baking it did give me a few ideas.

Also as for Baking anime there is one called Yume-iro Patissiere that I plan to watch soon, it is a lot more cutesy but I am interested.
theshanesaw Nov 17, 2017 12:59 AM
I must stay strong in the face of overwhelming deliciousness. XD

We are a little past the halfway point, it is still very funny and equally ridiculous.

Well I appreciate the heads up none the less. :)

I have just started watching Yakitate!! Japan which is about a baker that was recommended to me recently, as someone who has just re-entered the baking industry I had to check it out.
It is very funny so far but it is a whole new level of baking compared to what I am used to, I am far from and artisan. haha

We made pies today, I swear they are trying to tempt me. XD

I have just fallen in love with little Umaru-chan, she is so cute when she is lounging around.
We watched more of Ghost Stories last night and I don't know how they expected anyone to take any of it seriously, the plots are insane.
It definitely only works as a comedy.

That's all cool, I don't expect you to be waiting by the PC just to message on MAL.
Living takes precedence over chatting after all. :)
theshanesaw Nov 14, 2017 4:42 PM
I know right I hope I can avoid putting on weight, must stay healthy, must stay healthy, food, food.
I am scared for my waistline. haha

I can certainly understand it not being your cup of tea but it is my sworn duty to make everyone on MAL at least aware of it's existence for posterity. XD

I do have two more recommendations.
As you said you enjoy otaku culture something else that I have recently started watching is Himouto! Umaru-chan and I am really enjoying it, if you want something breezy and lighthearted I would read the synopsis and see if it something that you might like.
I love how the main character switches art styles, and her attitude and interactions with her brother are very funny.

Also have you seen Gakkou no Kaidan or Ghost stories in English, I was told to ignore the Japanese version as it isn't very good and instead go for the dubbed version.
The japanese version didn't do very well and isn't considered very good but because of this the dub team was given free reign over the script during localization changing the serious tone into a very comedic one.
I am two episodes in with a friend of mine and so far it is hilarious.
theshanesaw Nov 14, 2017 2:25 AM
Yeah I enjoy it, I get to make something and sometimes even eat it too. :)

Oh I get you now.
It was pretty funny and if you find otaku culture funny you might enjoy it.

Have you ever seen Mad Bull 34?
It certainly isn't for everyone but I will mention it anyway.
The rating on here for it is atrocious and rightfully so but I have never seen a better example of so bad it's good in anime.
It has sex, over the top violence, a ridiculously crazy interpretation of America, silly plots and a British voice voice cast pretending to be American that slowly becomes more British over the course of the 4 episodes.
If any of that sounds vaguely interesting I would highly recommend the English dub.

Sorry to bombard you with recommendations.
theshanesaw Nov 13, 2017 10:24 PM
Yeah, I was predominantly a bread baker up until now as I worked at Bakers Delight and Dovedale so it is a nice change of pace.

Yeah it is practically 1 issue to one episode so given that there are around 50 issues out it should go well beyond the anime.
Specifics?
I loved Assassins Classroom and Koro-sensei Quest! is like a joke version of the story with the setting changed to a video game.

If you want something funny to watch in very short time you should look into Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken, or in English it's name is I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying.
Each episode is less than 4 minutes, there are 2 13 ep seasons.
theshanesaw Nov 13, 2017 6:47 PM
They seem pretty cruisey so I don't think I have much to worry about, I learned how to make sausage rolls today. :)

So far it is almost note for note the same except the odd difference in phrasing which may be down to the translator.

Oh OK, not really a genre I get into but I have played around with a few Bishoujo games in the past so I get the appeal.
I watched Koro-sensei Quest! last night and it was really funny, not sure if you have heard of Assassination Classroom but it is one of my favotites and Koro-sensei Quest is a gag spinoff of that best watched after the main series.

I'm very sorry to hear about your family member and I sincerely hope that they are able to beat it.

It's going well so far, fingers crossed that it will continue that way.

I started reading The Devil is a Part-Timer as the series only got one season and I wan't to see what happens after that.
I also watched both seasons of New Game! and really enjoyed both
Have you seen either.
theshanesaw Nov 10, 2017 1:38 AM
I would like to read a bit more manga but other hobbies usually take precedence.

What has been going on if you don't mind me asking? If it is personal I totally understand though.

I started a new job this morning so my anime watching time may take a bit of a hit, I will have to be a little more selective about my watching choices from now on, the extra money will be much appreciated though. :)

Hi! You're welcome, and thanks for sending the request. ^_^ It's also been awhile since I watched Shugo Chara, but I loved it so much. I was hooked right from the first episode when Amu "confessed" in the middle of a crowded auditorium.

theshanesaw Nov 8, 2017 5:23 AM
I had it recommended to me by a few people here and fell in love with it. :)

I don't mind romance anime as long as it has a satisfying conclusion, if the romance never properly eventuates into a relationship I get frustrated.
So far the only manga I have read is a bit of Dragon Ball and the first 50 issues of Tokyo Ghoul, I plan to finish both I just need motivation.
theshanesaw Nov 8, 2017 4:11 AM
Yeah sometimes I do have to re-listen to some parts when I get to focused on something myself.
Politeness is never a bad thing. :)

Made in Abyss is a mix between sci-fi, adventure and fantasy, the characters are super cute and the animation especially the backgrounds are some of the best I have ever seen in a series, it reminds me of something out of a Miyazaki movie.
If you like any of those genres I would highly recommend checking it out.

Is Sukitte ii na yo good?

No worries, it was recommended to me by someone on here so I am happy to pass it along. :)
theshanesaw Nov 8, 2017 2:59 AM
A lot of the time these days instead of reading I will just track down an audiobook online so I can play a game or do something on the PC while I listen.
Horror can be really fun to watch at the cinema for that same reason, I think it adds to the atmosphere.

I get told not to say sorry all the time myself so I suppose it is a bit hypocritical of me to tell you not to. haha

I recently finished watching Durarara!! season 1 and despite taking a bit to get going I thought it was good.

I recently watched Made in Abyss and it made my top 10 list, have you seen it yet?

Now I am just bouncing between Durarara!! season 2, Gintama and Kinnikuman.
What are you watching atm?
