One word to describe this anime: Overrated.

Yes it is overrated not because of it's great artwork, but because the most important aspects of a show the characters and story are extremely weak.

Story

It's just a mess. Talk about Deus Ex Machina...it just seems that every thing almost always works out OR they seem to be doing fine and all of sudden something just happens that's suppose to shock us GASP..no. It tries to be complex, new, but it's not. It's all stuff I've seen a million times before and well that just makes the story plain mediocre and uninteresting. I give it a 4.

If you watched the first episode and thought to yourself "what the heck are they talking about, nothing makes sense.." then join the club.

Story

Kyoukai Senjou No Horizon (or KSNH as I'll refer to it for now on) is a messy affair. It tries to place the histories of nations, empires, etc all into one big blob and expects you to understand it. Either that or they tried to take too much of the original work and put it in 13 episodes. Pull out those history books, you'll probably need it to understand somewhat of what's going on. Basically the story revolves around humans who read more

Daimon Kaito is genius, who loves to solve puzzles. Sounds interesting, but...well read on.

Story
Phi Brain is supposedly a story about a kid who likes or rather has a unique talent to solve puzzles. Unfortunately, most of the story focus on other things rather than solving puzzles. Very rarely are we given a glimpse on how the puzzle is solved, heck we are not even given enough time to think about it! For a guy like me who likes puzzles, it was big let down. Where the heck is the thinking, explaining, etc? Heck I saw more puzzle solving in the new HunterXHunter series than in read more

To put it simply Beelzebub is a show that has overstayed it's welcome. The first several episodes are enjoyable, exciting and funny, which is why I watched this show until now.

Sometimes shows should be given some time off to keep us interested at times, I felt that way towards Bleach and now with this one. It's just become way too predictable. The gags aren't funny anymore, the animation hasn't improved one bit, in fact, I think it's worse! What's going on with this show? Just feels so empty now. I've decided to drop this, which is a shame, since it had some potential.

K-On! (Anime) add (All reviews)
I can write many single words to describe my feelings towards K-on, but I'll try to convey them in a small review.

Story
Story? What story. There is none. It is a slice of life show and I really mean they just take a slice out of anything they find amusing (which I probably didn't) and put it in the show. A day in the life of a high school girl who happens to be in the light music club. Some of these "slices" though tend to lead to very boring and I mean boring episodes. I think I was asleep half of the season watching this read more

I've heard a lot of things about Idolmaster prior to watching it. In fact, I heard a lot about the hasegawa model airplanes they came up some time ago. That kind of caught my attention and well, ironically about the same time this anime popped up so I decided to watch and see what it was about.

Basically this show is about a bunch of girls from different backgrounds wanting to be idols with the help from their producer who remains nameless.

Story

The anime starts off very slow. You are introduced to the characters and you aren't given much information on them until several episodes in. read more

Let's say if I only was able to take one anime from each genre (drama, comedy, etc) with me to a deserted island which ironically had a tv with a dvd player (don't ask me where the electricity comes from) for the the comedy one, I'd take FMPF.

Why? Well...

Story
Well, there isn't any! Ha! Got you there. Ok well maybe there is a small story, but it's meaningless for this show and well it's genre which is comedy. Not many comedy shows have stories, other than slice of life type of format which this anime seems to portray. Besides comedies are made to make you laugh read more

I have heard great things about the first installment of Last Exile and it appears many people are expecting much or at least the same from this one. I have never seen the first Last Exile, so I can't say for sure they'd be disappointed or happy.

For one I am not disappointed in this first episode. Here's why:

Story

I'm the kind of guy that doesn't read synopsis' or summaries, etc when animes first come out. I feel the best way to get a sense of how good an anime is going to be is to just jump right in and see where it takes you. In read more

Hanasaku Iroha follows the lives of Ohana (the main character) and the people who work at the Kissuiso, an inn that Ohana's Grandmother, Sui or Okamisan as they have to call her, owns.

Story

I gave it an 8.From the start there is tension and drama; and even some comedy. It really is a slice of life show. Ohana, who thinks that it would probably be no worse than where she is at now, is taken to her grandmother's inn to work due to her mother eloping with some guy (how irresponsible!). When she gets there though she gets hit hard with the reality of being read more

Danatalian no Shoka or the Mystic Archives of Danatalian looked very promising, but to my disappointment so far, hasn't shown us much of anything.

Story: Well, the viewer isn't really introduced to or given much information to the main characters. You pretty much are thrown in from the first episode in a world filled with books that can cast forbidden spells that humans want to get their hands on. Hugh and Dalian, the two main characters, some how from episode 1 the episode where they just met(yes from episode 1) just plain decide to go after the phantom books. WTF? I mean doesn't Hugh read more
