I agree that preliminary reviews should be lower than those written by people who have completed the show, but in order to do that, they would have to categorically sort every review by # of episodes watched or completed series, and then dedicate specific values to them determined by merit. As a more permanent solution, reviews submitted by people preliminarily should be put into a separate sub-section where people can view them, rather than those done by people completed the show. I feel like this would show a more accurate representation of what people who review the show really think about it at different parts of the show, and be better for distinguishing valid, educated opinions rather than premature hasty ones.
Personally, I think you are more looking for recognition for your review than anything, and to that, I would say that people will acknowledge your review (if it's good) regardless of if it's staring them in the face or if it's a few pages through the review section. I don't think there will be any changes in regards to this in the near future, and complaining in a review for a show surely isn't doing much good to fix the problem, just sidetracking your main points. I'm not bothered by the current system, and I really do believe that hard work, yields good results, so, for now, I'm content with that, as an amateur reviewer.
If you are seriously looking for a change in the system, I would recommend starting either a forum or finding a way to comment on a MAL staff's profile, rather than distracting from your own review.
