It's another isekai anime. Everyone's favorite genre. Our main character is a game dev that after finishing an all-nighter ends up in another game. Through plot convenience, her levels up 310 levels in the span of a couple minutes but no one in the show knows that, so he's op for the sake of being op. Watch as he walks around this world with cute girls and does stuff.
The art isn't special. No bad but it what we can call generic for modern anime.
The sound overall is also what you would expect from standard anime.
The characters are also what you expect from these shows.
over-sexualized underaged girls hang out with op main character because he chooses to be nice to everyone and that's all you need to get girls to pay attention to you. (I'm kinda complaining but they don't hang out with him for no reason, which means a lot in this genre.)
As I've said throughout this whole review, this show doesn't do much to set it apart. If you like isekai then you like this, plain as that. Don't get me wrong it's very well written for what it is but, it doesn't do anything out of the ordinary.

The story in this really is hit or miss. It can either be extremely boring or deep and interesting, dependent on who you are. You watch as a former military veteran attempts to adjust to new life as a civilian. This cute girl veteran is very awkward around others as she is much like a robot because of she was trained and doesn't really understand civilian thoughts like love. This is an issue because she has chosen to write letters for people but doesn't understand what they are trying to convey and often takes things too literally. You watch as she figures this human
emotions thing out.
The art is the reason a lot of people picked this up in the first place and why a lot of people haven't dropped it. It's as movie quality as an anime can get and done by one of the most infamous studios out there. Do as you wish with that information.
The sound complements the art as rather soothing and I'm not narrowing to the music. Not much else about it stands out.
The characters aren't walking tropes which is nice but, They can be very difficult to connect with which is something many people tend to complain about. It adds to the boring story which makes it very difficult to trudge through, some may even tend to call most of them emotionless. There are small fun moments but they may come across as forced when you get there. The main character is the biggest culprit as she tends to drag everyone else down to her level with her depressing exposition.
Overall, 7/10 I don't really care for this anime. It's not bad at all it just very difficult to get into especially if you're like me and couldn't care less about art.

We used to have Big 3 when it comes to anime including shows like Naruto, One piece, and Dragonball. Throw Fairytail in there also. Now as those shows are going away we look to replace them and this show was supposed to be one of those shows hyped to the point it crashed streaming websites when it released. The thing is all this show has are the bad parts of the Big 3. The story also wants to be compared to them and since it is I'm going to compare them here.
The story is about a boy who can't use magic but through some stroke
of determination and luck gets a powerful magic only he can use. I purposely manipulating this to sound like Boku no hero academia. Both main characters don't have something commonplace in this world just to get one of the strongest options somehow. Now we can compare it to Naruto, where all they did was replace Hokage with Wizard King as that is our main characters main goal to be the one over them all. Then you have Fairytail's magic elements on top of the fact he basically joined the Fairytail guild and yada yada yada. You have probably had these comparisons drilled into your head by now. All you need to know is this show doesn't do any of things nearly as well as the others except for maybe Fairytail that one is being debated by everyone. And before I move on when the second episode is filler that tells you this show isn't going to have good things to come. The pacing of the show is horrendous as it starts off super slow then starts moving very quickly and slows down again. They even negate some things turning some episodes into nothing but filler that added nothing to the characters development. (No saying it won't make you like a character more or not but objectively it adds nothing.)
The art is good. I don't love it but it's not bad at all the magic looks really good but that's the only thing I really like about it everything else I find around meh.
The music is all that special to me either. No songs still out to me as good or bad because I can't even remember them as it really isn't anything special. But there is one thing that I will get into with characters. The japanese voice actors are perfectly cast and that's not exactly a good thing. ( more on that later.)
Time to let loose the characters.
Asta is the main character of this story and like I said before he can't use magic but you need magic to pretty much do anything in this world as people without it are unheard of except for him. Honestly, all he knows how to do is scream at the top of his lungs I mean listening to him makes me want to blow my brains out. This makes Dragonball look tame and people joke about that all the time. You might grow numb to his voice over time or you might not, either way, you might want to seek out the dub instead. But he is determined although he can't use magic he trains his heart out all day working on his physical abilities and ends up with a grimoire something signifying magic in this world. But his is special as these books all have clovers 1-4 usually 4 being very impressive but our magicless protagonist gets a 5 leaf which means he as the power of the devil or something like that which lets him use a huge sword like another story we know that cuts down magic and negates it completely. Overall his character is super annoying and his ability just leaves me bored as this isn't the first useless main character is actually useful story and I would rather watch any one of those at this point.
The other main character I'm going to go over is our token overpower rival character Sauske... sorry I mean Gray, No Yuno, yeah Yuno. Yuno gets a 4 leaf is naturally good at magic and our main character uses him as a motivation get stronger. He is a rather emotionless character that looks up to Asta determination because he saved him this one time. I'm just going to cut it there and say this character means nothing to me.
The side characters (guild members.) can be very similar to fairytail, We have a chick that drinks a lot and wears rather lewd clothing like kana. a overbearing and energetic character like natsu. a powerful and serious like gildarts occasionally can be, etc.
Overall, unless you love shonen anime do not touch this with a ten-foot pole. Watch the shows this wants to replace instead at least you don't have to wait for new episodes. and you have watched them watch them again. This show has nothing redeemable so far maybe it will and I'm going to keep watching because I'm shonen trash. But so far this is a complete garbage can of a show. I'm not saying you can't enjoy this but it's really not good.

The story is about a group of people restarting the anime club at their school. So this is another club anime, just another club anime. it does nothing to set it apart from the others. It's the same plotline and tropes you have seen in other club anime from the cosplay to the conventions. It doesn't do these tropes even better or worse than other shows it is just that if you have seen one of these you've seen most of them.
The art isn't anything special generic cute characters and animation. The mascot is different at least (as much as it can be.) but that's
the only thing that stands out.
The music and characters are also what you would expect going into this. The voice actors can be typed cast by their voices and the music is upbeat. You'll probably forget about all of it.
The characters like I alluded to before aren't special. I could probably list at least ten clones for each of their personalities easily. If you are newer to anime or just adore these series they work but the more you get into these club animes the more tired you get to them. I'm not saying club anime are bad I just want different at this point especially coming off of Gamers which did different well and tried it's best to be its own thing.
5/10 overall. If I was newer to anime I would love this but, since I'm not, I'm just bored watching this. If you have watched one of these, you've seen most of them.

Our main character asks out the overly attractive girl but she's not what he expected. That is the premise of this show and that would be fine if not for a couple things. This girl is inexperienced but perverted in a way always assuming his fetishes. This is fine for like maybe the first two episodes then it just gets boring and repetitive. It wasn't that funny to start with but now it complete cringe as the same jokes get made every episode but in different ways.
I like the art and love the character designs. It cute and fun. Can't say much more about it
than that.
The music and voice actors push a cute vibe. You might find it annoying you might not. If you are into moe anime you would probably like it. The voice actors do seem limited by their characters though. they really only have one tone to stick to so it's hard to judge.
The characters are fine at the start but get old fast. like I said before it just the same jokes being repeated over and over so the characters get tiresome also. The personalities are special they stick to their roles and nothing else. It's rather boring. They added a new character but nothing much has changed if anything about the vibe this show gives off. If she wasn't added the story would be exactly the same. She is just a gateway to the tired jokes.
Overall, watch the first episode then drop it. that first episode is all you are going to be seeing throughout this. It's not a bad anime just boring to watch because there is never anything new.

This show is about kids that have become addicted to technology and internet usage so their parents send them to a school to reform them. The catch is that the school is like a prison with little actually in class time and brutal training where if you fall out of line you will be physically punished. Now, this show has all the elements of a good show but at the same time, it lacks. Everything is taken to the extremes and that might put some people off. It is a serious story that will throw jokes at you in between and it does that pretty
well.
The art isn't perfect. The animation can be awkward at times but it is drawn rather well. The ups and downs of it all fall in the middle the good is really good but the bad is really bad.
The sound is meh at all points. I guess everything fits but It could be done better right down to the sound effects.
The characters are what make and break this show. The main character sucks but we can say that about a lot of anime. He flips back and forth between a strong and weak personality to whenever the plot needs it. He is also really weird sometimes but I think that's for the sake of comedy. I don't like him but maybe you might.
The other characters we don't get too much off due to the quantity of them. so it's hard to screw them up.So those characters are strong the whole way through. The main character is the only thing that actually drags this show down.
Overall, I give this a 6/10. This show is down by haoliners and that contributes a lot to this shows issues because haoliners has never made a good anime according to a vast majority of the community and that is what is pulling down this show's overall score on mal (The bias mostly) otherwise it may get higher mainstream appeal. People also like to keep reference the real-life cuts in the first episode but that was just to show that this is a real-life issue it has nothing to do with the actual show. Check this show out despite the score. It's not great by any means but you will get some enertainment out of it.

This is another addition to the little sister genre. We just had eromanga-sensei and this show has the exact same premise of a little sister obsessed author doing things. It doesn't help that the characters are very similar. The only difference is the age of the characters. The gags are a high point for this and that's not saying a lot because they aren't that great but I guess it's worth watching for.
The art is good. We have our fair share of ecchi in this and a lot of the budget goes to that. the rest of it can really be ignored since not that
much happens in between gags.
The sounds aren't special nothing sticks out as good or that bad. The voice actors are good but you don't really care if you watch this. They may hurt your experience actually because they remind you of the better roles they have played.
The characters like I said are pretty much just aged up versions of eromanga sensei.
The main character I already summarized as a sister obsessed pervert and that's his whole character so far
Kani is the youngest of the group and also very lewd as she is obsessed with our main character and likes to tease him. She is Sagiri as she doesn't write about things she hasn't seen before like Sagiri doesn't draw. She often writes naked because of this like how Sagiri lewds herself for her work. The one major difference is the Kani isn't closet with her lewdness. The other character also show similarities to eromanga sensei characters but hers is the most important.
Miyako is the more mature one the group you would guess but there isn't anything special or notable about her character really and that goes for most of the people in this story.
Chihiro is our main characters step "brother" and "he" takes care of Itsuki.
and there's a last I guess important character that which pretends to be gay to feed his fangirls.
Overall, I don't care too much for this show and would rather watch eromanga-sensei because it's better written and that's saying a lot because that shows not amazing either but its far more enjoyable. This show has nothing special about it that stands out as amazing and you should watch this for it. You can come and stay for the gags but you can just watch anime vine comps or something because all the good ones end up there instead of picking through this garbage.

The first season of this show is one of my favorites of all time. The wild and crazy antics that Leo goes through on top of a deeply connected story was amazing so I had high hopes coming into this. The story is basically about the aftermath of a fallout which connected new york to another world to state it quickly. This season lacks the continuity that the first season had. It is more like a series of OVAs so far. The show also feels toned down compared to the first season the antics aren't as frequent or heavy but they are still there and
just as enjoyable.
The art is also really good. It is one of the staples of this show for me since anything can happen at any time. The show doesn't limit itself so, the art supports it very well because it has to. The characters designs and when people use their powers are enough to get you to watch the show on their own if you didn't much for anything else.
The first season's music was amazing all the way through. I spam the soundtrack in the car all the time and this season doesn't fall far behind in quality but it isn't as good and that's not saying a lot. Every song you hear makes you happy and fits the scenes well.
This season focuses less on Leo and more on the side characters so far giving everyone their own episodes and I love it. Chain is laid back and good for parties despite are ultimate badassness, Zapp is as stupid as always and etc. you can't help but love everyone and it's nice getting to know them more as the main plot of this story ended last season and this whole show could have stopped there and left you satisfied. It makes you wonder if we do get to an actual story or stick to this OVA like format.
I enjoy the crap out of this show and am never disappointed as we move on. Overall I give it a 8 because as much as love this I admit it's not perfect. It might make bring more score up if we get that serious side back but for now... You should watch this if you loved the first season you will enjoy this too but don't start here you won't get into it.

The king's game is a game played with people pick numbers at random and a king calls upon whatever number you get. the number called has to do what they are told. In this anime if you fail to complete an order you die. This would work if the writing wasn't complete garbage. First, we have two games going on at one time. Well, a past game and the current one. So we have double dose of rape and betrayal. Once again this sounds like a good show although it isn't. They try to make us care about characters in a span of episode of
top of everyone being dumbasses that don't know what loopholes are or characters that are selfish for not even their own survival. There is also a bunch of pointless dialogue because people struggle to do even the simplest of orders. And etc and etc.
The art isn't amazing either but not bad. It isn't downright terrible animation I mean I've seen worse but it isn't something you would watch this show for. Some of the characters just look disgusting anyway.
The music can be rather cliche and boring for this genre but the voice actors feel like their talents are being wasted here with these garbage characters and lines. It doesn't help or they try to make every scene as dramatic as possible.
The characters are this show's real drawback. The main character has won this game before yet still struggles to figure things out in the current one. He forces people to do things he wouldn't do himself and makes empty promises but so does everyone in this show. No of the characters so far are redeeming anyway since no one has a centralized character. They all change to what the plot needs them to be in that moment.
I had high hopes for this show going in because it had some hype to it. the source is supposed to be better popular in Japan but so was other shows this season but those are trash also. Going from episode to episode hurts do to the terrible writing and tone changes. I don't know why anyone would watch this unironically.

This is an extremely fast-paced show so if you are the type of person that likes deep character development and to bond with the characters in a killing game story this might not be for you. If you are the type of person to like nonstop action with a small amount of character development you've come to the right place. Every episode we learn the short backstory of a character then we watch them fight. The story itself is about 12 people representing the zodiac killing each other to retrieve a poisoned gem from each other bodies and then getting the one inside you
taken out upon victory. Somehow we have pacifists in this competition but that's not important. We don't know exactly why people showed up for this tournament but maybe we will learn. I do like any killing game plot and this is no different but I like character development also so I have a love hate relationship with this show maybe you won't.
The art is amazing as shows like this need good art because there is so much going on and people will drop janky and bad art like a sack of rocks. They have nothing to hide behind with this show and I appreciate the effort.
The music is also pretty nice and fits everything the show needs well. You know what you're getting just from the music used when it shows up. The voice acting is also pretty good.
Like I said before we get a short backstory every episode for each character then we don't learn much more about them. I don't mean that as a bad thing though. So you can't make bonds with everyone except for maybe the pacifists if they live long enough. What I will pick out is the powers. Every character has an ability related to their zodiac even if it may not seem like it. the chicken can control birds, the boar holds ammo like a pig does it's slop with endless reloading so she never has to stop firing her gun as long as she has ammo like a pig never stop eating as long as they have food. The rabbit has necromancy so the people he kills does his bidding for him with their powers intact I don't know how to compare that one. The dog can control poisons I guess because dogs can sniff them out and etc.
I like the way they balance this powers out so no one is too overpowered even though all the dog has to do is sit around until everyone else dies since he is immune to poisons.
Overall I'm loving this anime and can't wait for a new episode every week especially since we have so many duds this season. I'm somewhat liking everything about this show and hope it keeps it up. They even keep you on your toes by throwing you things you may never expect.
