The end of an era of shounen. I was there when the very first episode dropped, and now, seeing it all come to a close feels surreal. Growing up alongside MHA as an adult was an experience of its own — a reminder of why I fell in love with stories of heroes in the first place.
I’ve always had a soft spot for series that know when to end, and MHA did just that. The fandom aside, I’ve always believed it was a genuinely great shounen at heart — one that balanced spectacle with soul.
I’ve read the manga and even wrote a review for it
...
before, but Bones has truly gone all out this season. The production, direction, and animation are top-tier, and it’s clear they wanted to give this story the send-off it deserved.
It’s the end of a great shounen. Many might not agree, but MHA has firmly cemented its place in modern anime history. I gave the manga a 9, but anime-wise, this final season — and honestly the whole series — deserves a solid 9.5 or even a 10.
If you don’t agree, I respect your opinion too. Plus Ultra — Go Beyond.

Okay so, just to preface a little. I'm a fan of Fujimoto and his style. He has this raw and unhinged style of expressing scenes and his art is honestly more on the easy side when it comes to understanding so this manga was a breeze for me to enjoy and read especially since I love Chainsaw man aswell.
Let's talk about the concept, A world where everything is frozen and there are people with powers called Blessed. Sounds simple enough right? Oh boy was I wrong. It goes from 0 to 100 real quick and then tones back to -50 even quicker lol. Thats the
...
best way I can describe Fujimoto's storytelling. Its so visceral and raw.
The art is stellar, as expected. If anyone's read Chainsaw then they know that Fujimoto is a madlad when it comes to panelling and action. His art is more on the easy side and reminds me of Bleach and Dragon ball in the sense that it flows freely. Although his art here is a bit more detailed than Chainsaw, I think?
The characters though, Everyone is conflicted and by that I mean Everyone! No one is right or wrong and they're all just crazy. Our main character isnt a monotonous plot device either, He has actual depth to him and makes you want to root for him. I'm so glad that this is the case. He stumbles and falls but his convictions make him stand up again. He goes through hell, quite literally. And becomes broken beyond repair.
Now the juicy part though which is the ending. It an open ending which I kinda expected from Fujimoto. It leaves you hanging and wanting more but there's nothing more to come lol... Endings like these are good in the sense that you can actually look at the last panel and be dumbfounded by it. I've become a fan of vague open endings like these, my last one was Houseki no kuni and it reminded me of that ending.
"The main takeaway, atleast for me is that People and their lives and sufferings are finite but there's one thing that will outlast us all and that's art and movies" We all know Fujimoto loves injecting the idea of movies in his works. Only art will last long after you've been buried and that's a realist message.
Overall, a solid and fast read. If you need something to binge fast and easily, This is definitely the manga for you.
This manga was so fun to consume and it kept me constantly wanting for more and more.
8/10, Thanks for reading!
Btw this was my 100th manga and I honestly think I landed on a goldmine here because this was a surreal read.

Lo and behold, I'm so glad that my country was among the early release date receivers for this movie, I'm a chainsaw man fan (manga reader) and part 1 is honestly the peak of it (Part 2 on the other hand though...)
But hey, Let's talk about the movie.
It starts right off where the first season ended and we're introduced to some new characters and basically Denji being Denji lol.
Lets talk about the orgasmic animation because thats the standout for me. It was so fluid and raw and honestly it was way better than the first season (Heard they fired the director sadly). But this
...
new director brings the charm and playfulness of the manga to the big screen. And one thing to note is that Mappa went totally ham in the animation department, Like I honestly think it is one of the best animated anime movies I've seen in a while.
-Frankly speaking, This would've been the best anime movie this year for me if it weren't for Demon slayer but thats a different discussion hehe. In terms of pure animation, I think this surpasses the Demon slayer Infinity castle part 1 movie (There's so much raw emotion and animation being conveyed here).
The soundtrack was gorgeously well placed. It matches the choreography so well and it blended seamlessly with the action. Extremely satisfying to hear.
I really enjoyed this movie, The first part was good but the second part was pure cinema. Adaptation wise,I dont think they could've adapted this arc any better, Its literal perfection. In terms of enjoyment and rounding about everything, I'd say I would give this an 8.5 or 9/10 easily.
Oh and also I saw the censored version (oir cinema didn't inform us prior) but it was only one scene so I'm not mad about it. One little nitpick is that the action got a bit too crazy which was hard to follow in a few scenes but thats about it (Skill issue for me lol).
This movie deserves all the hype and praise because it's a Sakugafest. Some scenes were so good that my jaw dropped honestly, Mappa is on the right track here.
See you all hopefully when the second season (Obviously its coming) airs xD

After being hyped to no end, It's finally here and I'm gonna be completely honest. It did deliver. Atleast for me :)
Cloverworks is seriously on a roll these past few years and they're showing no signs of slowing down. My review starts here and I'll tell about why I like this anime and what kind of feelings it evokes inside my lonely self lol.
• The story is very simple, Two opposing schools. One is all boys and one is all girls. Fated to never mingle, Shunned by society. The plot is extremely simple which makes this an easy watch. There's no complex storyline here, It's
...
just something which you can watch and feel with your heart. So in that regard I really like the setting.
• The art and animation is off the charts, Every frame looks so meticulously done. Kudos to the staff and I hope they keep up this level of quality throughout.
• Now a little personal tidbit about why this anime hit me alot and instantly attracted me. The two main characters are basically innocent goofballs who can't go two seconds without saying sorry or thank you lol. This reminds me of how I was in university life. I had this girl I used to talk to and whenever we chatted, We used to say sorry and thank you alot, so as not to trouble eachother. Whenever we met irl in our university, We both would avoid ourselves due to the perception of our class.
• Sorry for going offtrack and getting personal but this anime just reminded me of that time when I was an innocent person lol and the times of bliss I experienced back then. It evoked this feeling in me that I forgot I had experienced and for that, I'll appreciate this gem of an anime.
Personal stuff aside, This is a great anime and it's basically not doing anything new. It's just using the same romance formula but in the most wholesome way I've seen in years. If you like a simple romance with no overblown fluff then this is for you. Definitely worth it for the vanilla romance fans haha.

I can't help but wonder why more people aren't talking about this surprise gem of 2025. Enough time has passed and thus it's time to write a review in hopes that people will give this series a chance because it's a really good Shounen.
I honestly haven't seen the Original series by Gosho Aoyama sensei nor have I seen Detective Conan but I'm well familiar with how legendary the guy is so when I heard there was a remake coming, I got excited especially knowing that Wit studio (Yes the legendary studio behind Attack on titan) was gonna helm it. It has been a blast so
...
far and I'll summarize why.
• Let's start with the obvious one, Animation got a huge overhaul compared to the original. I've seen some clips of the original and this remake blows it out of the way easily. Usually old animation wins these days but in this case the remake takes the cake with it's gorgeous animation.
• Let's talk about another key factor, The fluidity of the action or quality of Sakuga. (Sakuga is essentially an Umbrella term for good animation). Boy does this anime have alot of it, Every episode so far has been really action filled and even the regular animation is top notch. In terms of presentation, I don't think this anime could've gotten a better remake.
• Soundtracks are amping and they're usually played during fights and mostly drums I think but they do a good job of hyping the viewer.
• Story is fast paced understandably because from what I hear, They're doing a full adaptation and going further than the original anime went so some slack can be cut here. It doesn't feel outlandishly fast like a certain series (Looking at you, Shaman king)
All in all, It's a neatly wrapped Shounen and despite the dated story and the repeated tropes, It has it's charm. I may be biased because I really like Shounens but this feels like it might end up becoming one of my favourites the way it's going.
I'm having so much fun each episode and genuinely engaged where the story is taking me, That's a great sign right?!
Otherwise I wouldn't be writing a review with just having seen 5 episodes lol (At the time I wrote this).
Definitely give this a try, Thanks for reading!

As someone who really loves and adores Shounens and their whole idea, It's weird for me to say that I actually didn't enjoy this series much (Atleast not as much as it was praised). I was under the impression that this was a cult classic for many growing up and as someone whose favourite anime is Naruto, I thought to myself that it's finally time to give this a try and I gotta say, After finishing this. I'm actually very disappointed.
It wasn't all bad, The show's first half is actually really engaging and well thought-out. Characters have great motivations and it feels like the
...
start of a great Shounen but my problem with the show lies in the second half mostly.
I won't go into spoiler territory but the ending feels like it's a very useless ending. None of the questions were answered. Entire character arcs were left hanging. The characters were great and had charm but it feels weird that none of them got the resolution that they sought out to achieve. Ironically enough, The ending is as laidnack and chill as the protagonist itself lol.
It wasn't all bad though, Good protagonist, Great antagonist and the entire supporting cast is charming. Art and animation is solid and the Osts are on point. Did I mention the banger opening songs by Megumi Hayashibara. Loved all of this and for that I'll appreciate this series. I can see this becomes a childhood anime for manga tbh but my adult self had a bit too high expectations perhaps hahaha.
I was enjoying it halfway through but unfortunately the ending really killed it for me. (I know it's a non canon ending and the writers did their best for the time but still).
Watch this for cultural value I guess or if you're a fan of Shounens like me lol. I'm gonna read the manga now and I hope it's better than what was presented here atleast.

Dr. Stone is back for its final installment or season albeit in the form of 3 cours.
This is the first cour and it's off to a great start. The thrills are even bigger now due to the appearance of a certain someone in the story. No spoilers from me because Dr. Stone is one of my favourite modern anime/manga.
Coming from someone who's finished the manga aswell, I think the staff is gonna end this on a high note. Music, Animation, Art etc everything is just as usual. Nothing standout but Dr. Stone has always been more about the characters and the world building. This
...
season is just going to make the anime only people starve for more content when it ends.
I don't think it's a hot take to say that Dr. Stone is one of the most well written Shounen in recent years and this season is no slouch either.
If you're reading this then you've obviously seen the rest of the seasons anyway hahah. It's gonna be even more exhilarating moving forward.
Thanks for reading!

If I were to describe this manga in a single word, It would be MESSED UP. This is one of those that will make you awe yet feel disgusted at the same time.
This has to be one of the most visceral and brutal manga I've read and I started my new year with this one (I need help lol).
But on the side note, I'll warn all the faint hearted because it has everything from decapitation to body gore all the way up to rape. It's seriously very messed up and makes me wonder how exactly the author came up with a story like this. Kidnapping,
...
Drug abuse, Sexual abuse, Physical abuse, Bullying and a plethora of bad stuff so again, Be warned and read it at your own risk.
The action is amazingly choreographed, It's very easy to follow what's happening and the art is great aswell. The strong point of this manga is not the story but instead the insane amount of gore.
The story isn't the strong point but it hits you in the face with a big twist that I didn't see coming so there's that aswell.
Literally every other page has sexual abuse or blood or something messed up happening. Gore fest basically.
All in all, It was a very fast read due to the fast paced action and fast plot progression. Will recommend this to anyone who likes gore and blood. But be warned, Some stuff is so bad that I can't even describe how bad it. Just know it's in no way meant for anyone who's under age (Trust me on this one). It also heavily revolves around Yakuza so maybe people who enjoy that aspect should read it.
But if you don't mind all the above mentioned, You'll enjoy reading this like I have lol. It was a fun ride despite being short. Kind of like a fever dream but in manga form.
8/10.
Thanks for reading!

Well well well, What a rollercoaster of inconsistency this season has been. As someone who was a fan of the first season, It might be no exaggeration to say that I was anticipating alot from this season (Especially after how much hype the manga readers linked it to).
But sad to say that they did not deliver completely, Now let me be clear first. While the season did not live up to expectations, It certainly wasn't all bad. It had it's moments, Highlights but for the most part, It was unsatisfactory.
The final 2 episodes on their own are the best of this season and even the
...
last, They're too damn good. That's how much I liked em. If it weren't for those episodes then I'd call this entire season a wasted opportunity but thankfully they did those episodes justice atleast.
Let's start with the good : Art was on point and even much much better than the first season. Colour schemes looked really dynamic. Osts were absolutely fire and utilized very well and the whole atmosphere of the stadium and the big match was nailed atleast.
Now let's talk about the jarring issue: Animation lol. The beginning couple of episodes were a mangled mess, That led to the entire Frame lock or PowerPoint meme situation. The episodes got better a little but only the key moments were somewhat good and given priority. The final couple of episodes were great and they made me feel the thrill and awe that the manga did but it made me realize that on one hand, They adapted the final episodes right, They fumbled the rest of the episodes really bad.
Although I'm a manga reader and I really really love Blue lock, I hope that for season 3 the studio is given ample time and staff to work and produce a better and much more complete final product. Trust me when I say this, The manga is just in a different league compared to the anime. The contrast is that big between the two lol...
If the entire season was the same quality as the final two episodes then Blue lock would've potentially been the best anime of 2024 even, Just goes to show how badly they messed up one of the best selling manga of recent years.
I enjoyed it and some moments were great but as a whole, It could've been way better.
As a Blue lock fan, I hope the next season is better :(

What is war? Is it necessary? Are there any victors?
Well, To answer that question, You must experience this grounded and dark story that is by no means meant for children (Despite how it looks). This is a very dark anime that deals with some serious subjects, War, Abuse, Child abuse, Rape and Personality disorders. These are some of the things which are shown in the series so beware if you get triggered easily.
Animation/Art : Really great tbh. Blew me away especially the vibe that the anime sets early on. Really grips you in. The art has an old charm to it tbh. Although it
...
can feel dated obviously but I think one shouldn't put this anime down or demerit it for it's animation. For its time, The anime looked amazing probably. There are also these moments in the anime where some character take a long pause before doing something or doing something. This keeps you glued to the screen and builds anticipation. The Villain is very hate-able and insufferable lol.
Story : A really fantasy based story with an overly optimistic yet likable main character that you honestly can't help but like him. At times the MC is so blindingly optimistic that even I as a viewer am baffled but to see his breakdown and despair was sad aswell. It's a A point to B point story which takes no shortcuts. The supporting cast it also used well here that you actually feel for them. While the story is not perfect, It was pretty good for what it offered. A short and simple anime that you can watch over the weekend and which will keep you hungry for more because the thriller and drama aspect is executed very well.
Sound design : The Ost and sounds mesh really well with the scenery and the scene being showed. Melodramatic Ost for a Melodramatic anime.
The beginning is also very exciting and sets the tone for the entire series. The ending, could have been better but I didn't hate it or anything. I was content with what was shown and that's a good thing imo.
All in all a very solid watch, I'd recommend this to people who can stomach some mature stuff. This was a pleasant surprise and I honestly wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did haha. I usually don't binge anime nowadays but if I do then that means they're engaging enough and this one certainly checks that box.
To top it all off, A self contained story within 13 episodes?! Sign me up anyday! :)
Definitely give this one a try, You'll be surprised!
