A peculiar anime with plot that refuses to progress, world that seems to be hollow, CGI graphics which are somehow absolutely amazing and characters that make up for every single one of its shortcomings.
That would be Houseki no Kuni in a nutshell. Depending on the point of view it can be either really boring or totally charming. Personally I think it is definitely the second for a good reason.

I don't even know where to begin. On one hand it seems to fall in line with harem titles but on the other it also tries to convey some sort of a... profound message? This anime struck me as a rather bizarre combination of themes that do not go together.
As for the profound part - what I'm about to say should not be taken as a personal attack but as something that should give the potential viewer a general idea of what Elfen Lied is about - this title seems like it was written by a person resentful of the rest of the world. Maybe ... |
