Background:
Before Clannad: After Story, every anime I had watched had fight scenes. Someone on the internet told me this was good, so I was like "alright" and gave it a shot. If that sounds like you, I'd suggest you do the same thing.

Story:
In short; its excellent. It will make you feel all sorts of ways. You don't necessarily need to watch Clannad before watching this, but I did. I do not believe that I was the target audience for Clannad, but when I got to After Story I was happy I stuck it out. You can of course read a summary of Clannad and ... just hop into After Story if you really can't be bothered to sit through the first part. After Story starts out a bit slow like the first show, but it quickly ramps up and hooks you in. The pacing becomes perfect, and (in my opinion) wraps up nicely.

Animation:
The characters are concentrated anime, in a nearly pure form. They got these enormous eyes and tiny mouths and noses, which is normal for anime but this is next level. There's some pretty scenes, some powerful shots, and the show does a pretty great job communicating emotion through the visuals.

Sound:
It sounds pretty. There's not really a standout theme or a super iconic beat in here, but its still great and compliments whatever is going on in the show.

Character:
You're going to get invested in this cast. Each episode progresses the main character forward. I don't want to say much here, so just trust the process.

Overall Enjoyment:
I watched Clannad thinking it was going to be this goofy school harem show, and I guess the first part was. But then After Story hit, and it hit hard. If you're looking for a show that will make you feel everything, this is it.

Story:
Its a show about street racing. All the parts are there, the show makes it work. Good pacing, you never feel rushed through the story or that its dragging.

Animation:
I personally love the old school animation, but its admittedly dated. The races specifically didn't age great, but the rest of the show makes up for it and carries the weight.

Sound:
Good God, if you aren't a fan of eurobeat now, you will be after watching this.

Characters:
... The main cast is easy to love and get invested in. I found no trouble believing any of them.

Overall Enjoyment:
Its old. Its dated. Somehow it still holds up and is awesome. If you want to put on the nostalgia goggles and purposefully blind yourself, this is the show. Even if you aren't into cars, at the very least you'll be jamming out to the soundtrack.
