lol. Eh, 50's huh? Well. *shrug* that ain't young at the very least. Hmm... wrestling. Time is a conundrum. 10 years ago was the technological/internet boom. Before that, there was no internet. Meaning in the 70's and 80's.... there was no real activity with computers. My parents were children before cell phones, before the Beatles- my dad lived in a country far away where there were even only TWO TV channels! It feels like all those things are so far in history, yet it isn't so. Even the Cold War and the "perfect family" stereotype wasn't too long ago. It's so weird! People only first landed on the moon within the past 20 years! Blacks only got "real" equality within the past 50 years too! WTF dude, time FLIES. Yet still time is so condensed. So much happens and yet nothing happens. Heck, even I already feel old!
I don't know if I mentioned this before, but it's something that I saw a few years ago that still wracks my brain. You know the show Yu-G-Oh! ? Well, one of the more liked comments at the time of I think the trailer, was something along the lines of: "What's that thing that Yugi uses to be able to play the video? o.0". IT WAS A CASSETTE TAPE AND VCR! AND NONE OF THESE YOUNGER PEEPS KNEW!!! :'(
So hey, at least I was around for cassette tapes and VCRs. I was around for Furby's. I was around for the Gameboy. I was around for CD Players! I still have gameboards in my house like Monopoly, Scrabble, Chess, Trivia Pursuit, etc. I still have a PS2! I even have a Sega! I was around for the stuff that's practically extinct nowadays. Sad but how it is nonetheless. We're all old yet young at the same time.
If you can say, "When I was your age..." Which we so obviously can..... *facepalm* WE'RE HISTORY. :D
