ohayou mate chan, hope all is well. how is the job training going?

my week has been pretty blah, super busy you know how it is. Me and Pete have nearly finished the first season of deadwood now and we've already bought the next two haha, coz OMFG its amazing. like wow :-O just can't get enough of it, it's HBO so each ep is one hour which means we can only fit in two-three eps a night and I'm always like I NEED MOAR haha. seriously can't actually get over how good it is. Also I have to go into a little bit of a fangirl rant in it the main guy in it - who is fucking hot by the way - I am massively fangirling over big time. lol. little bit of an obsession brewing there I think haha. the guy who plays him his in this program called 'justified' which is in its third season I think, Pete got the first season for xmas so I'm gonna suggest we watch that next haha coz yeh.. the fangirl in me needs more lol. thing is he is hot and all but in deadwood it is his character which is awesome, like really badass guy who is actually just a decent guy at the end of the day, and theres this romance brewing between him and this other character, but its kind of a love that can't really be which I'm all over that shizzle as you know, and basically the tension between them is to the max, I'm sure they are gonna get it on by the end of the season, you know how it is when you're rooting for a couple it makes for good watching lol. so yeh basically completely obsessed with that show at the moment, can't even think about doing anything else, like me and Pete haven't played any ME3 this week or done anything else at all except watch deadwood haha. we have a weekend at home so providing we don't just sit there watching the second/third season all weekend, we should be able to crack on with ME3 ;)

I feel like I had something else I wanted to blab to you about, but since all I can think about is deadwood at the moment, my fangirl rant just took over my brain and I've forgotten what else I wanted to say, hahahaha

haha excellent you are reading wind-up bird :) fucking love that book. its pretty surreal in terms of plot like I remember the first time I read it, I didn't really understand it until I'd finished it, and even then I was like wtf but I think that was coz a) I was not that old then like I think I first read it when I was 15 or something and b) I read it quickly haha. but yeh love it. it goes off on tangents at times and there were a few bits in it that I was never that into, but overall loved it and the way the story builds up is just wow. also there is a bit in it which is genuinely one of the most horrifying things I've ever read - you'll know what I mean when you get to it... but yeh wow hope you like it :)

ah yeh I like legion too I find him cute and yeh it annoyed me actually when he'd just helped them all, and all the quarians were like wtf is this geth doing on the ship and shepard was all fuck you he's my mate, and then tali was like 'you mean it' I was like fuck off! coz yeh no need for that. also whats the deal with the turians and quarians? I think I may have missed/forgotten that from earlier games but for the quarian mission we took garrus along with us (basically we tend to use him and liara, but you were forced to use tali in the quarian mission obvs), and there were quite a few little scenes between garrus and tali where it seemed like they weren't that keen on one another, oh yeh ha and then when the quarians shot on the dreadnaught when we were in it, garrus was like 'typical quarian bastards!' or something, so me and pete were like yeh.. no love lost there.

bleugh this day is dragging like a mofo I tell you, all I want to do is go home and watch bleak house.. it is really like wow! amazing. also I know this is a silly little reason to like it but one of the main guys in it is the lannister dad from GoT, and actually even though he's supposed to be a bastard in GoT, I have to admit that I do kinda like him, something about his kind of severe face and way of speaking that I like, anyway so he's in bleak house which I like. also its just really intriguing like shit is happening and we have no clue what it all means, so full of theories, and this is gonna sound weird but another thing is that even though its a completely different setting, it shares something else in common with GoT : conversations between people where they are actually meaning something different from what they are saying. does that make any sense? like one of the things I liked about GoT was that often two characters would have a conversation where they would basically dance around an issue and never actually say it outright, so there was a lot of subtext going on. fuck it I have no idea if you know what I'm chatting about! anyway in bleak house there is a lot of that i.e. conversations between people where threats or hints kind of hang in the air but aren't actually said out loud, which gives a quite good atmosphere to a scene.

haha and on that note I'll stop chatting bollocks on your wall ;) oh and yeh! tobys thing is on Friday I believe. I text him yesterday to ask about plans and apparently they are all up in the air but he is going to sort out a proper plan soon, he was supposed to be having a house party at jasons house but I think thats all gone tits up as jason had an argument with his girlfriend or something, fuck knows anyway some shiz will be happening so I'll see you then :)

ohayou bex chan, hows you? how was your weekend? mine was alright pretty blah, we were supposed to go to Bristol for my brothers birthday on Sunday but with our car in the garage we couldn't, so we sat around watching stuff/playing ps3. lol story of our life at the moment haha. we've been watching this anime called 'gungrave' its old but not that old like 2003 or something, anyway its really good, its basically a seinen with a really great story - betrayal, revenge etc. fucking awesome actually. also started watching 'bleak house' it's a bbc adaptation of a charles dickens novel, obvs all the actors in it are british, except bizarely it has gillian anderson (from xfiles fame) in it as one of the main characters, obvs playing a british lady. anyway I've never read the book but from what we've seen of the show so far I now really want to - it's really dark and fucked up. so yeh been blasting our way through it. It reminded me that I do want to read david copperfield at some point.. but I'm in the middle of reading the most massivest book ever at the moment like 1500 pages or something, apparently its one of the longest novels ever published in the english language haha. it's called 'a suitable boy' and it is very good but I'm crawling through it, since I got my vita I have an additional demand on my time in bed before I go to sleep lol so everything else has been sidelined.

also cracking on with me3, we've just done the first quarian mission and met up with tali, I have to say I find the quarians a bit douchey, not necessarily tali but the rest of them can go fuck themselves I say, like we helped them out on this dreadnaught ship and they were supposed to get away safely and instead they decided it was a great opportunity to blow it up... with us still inside! wtf man, how douchey can you get. also I don't like the way they are about geth, mostly coz I really liked legion from the first game. but we've only just started the quarian missions so maybe they redeem themselves - I'm not passing judgement yet. Also me and pete fracked up on the romance front haha. basically after thane died (sob) we had a one night stand with specialist treynor in our shower in our room (it was a really weird scene actually, she was having a shower and we had the option to join her, which we did, but femshep just jumped in the shower fully clothed and started grinding up against her - bizarre). anyway we thought you know one night stand that was that (coz you can't actually have a relationship with her) anyway a few missions after that, we had to go back to the citadel and kaiden, liara and garrus all asked to see us privately, so we were like wahey we can have a relationship with one of these... and then they ALL FRIEND ZONED US!!! as in 'you're such a good friend shepard' haha we were like... ah. our shaggy ways have ruined us. lol. I was a bit disappointed but then I thought actually you know what I would have felt bad if after Thane sent us that beautiful email about how he loved us and would wait for us at the other end of the sea, if we had just gone yep whatevs new love! pete was like yeh but isn't it bad shagging around and I was like well a woman has needs, so obvs shepard won't be celibate the rest of her life, but her love will always be thane, haha I have thought too much on this given that it isn't real and it's just a game loooool

anyway mate chan soz for the essay - you know how it is. I always have loads to say when I haven't written on your wall for a while.

funny you should say that about samurai champloo, I downloaded it a while back, may try to get pete to watch it with me. we've just started a new anime called 'gungrave', it's pretty good, only watched two eps but there were lots of guns and the main character is a badass who has some kind of tragic past yep I'm all over that. he's not hot though. sad times.

yeh you should totally watch hakkuoki (the shinsengumi anime) coz it is amazing. the first series starts of a bit blah, took me maybe 4 eps or so to get into it. and then the end of the season is like :-O and then the sequel is basically a big war so really awesome fight scenes but as I said lots of people dying which kinda makes it more interesting as no one is safe. also I have to say since they have the same names as gintama characters it makes it all the more worse when some of them die as I am attached to them haha, and also means that I am really hoping some of them that are left don't die. lol even though it's not the same anime. anyway as I said hijikata in it is just awesome, he's voiced by roy mustang guy which I just love, coz hes got a pretty hawt voice :D

I've heard of dragon age I think its on my amazon wish list, there are a couple of sequels out for it but I was gonna start with the first one (when?fuck knows when I thought I'd have the time haha) so let me know if its any good :)

hope the next few days on this training course aren't too stressful mate chan, ganbatte! hope you get the job :) you saying that about coffee reminds me, did I tell you I've almost completely given up caffeine? I know it sounds mad but I had a very good reason: not being able to sleep for like 18 months haha. anyway, I felt like shit for like 2/3 days but once I was over the withdrawal, I have to say I feel the best I've felt in years. I now have on cup of tea in the morning (can't give that up) but then I just have other drinks during the day. I've found I'm sleeping better, I'm less anxious, my mood is better (didn't realise how grumpy I felt all the time) also I don't feel tired it's really weird but I was just constantly feeling tired all the time and so drinking coffee or tea to perk myself up but seems like that made things worse, coz now I've given it up I have loads more energy. yay. but I'll never give up my morning cup of tea, not coz I need it (as I don't now, I wake up feeling better too) but coz I love tea and it would make me too sad to give it up..

ugh this day has been long, can't leave work till I mark some tests which I was supposed to do over the weekend and I have no excuse for not doing as Pete spent most of the weekend in bed so I had to amuse myself, but anyway so now I have to do it and I can't go home until I'm finished. sad times.

Also been meaning to say for ages but some updates on manga: new berserk and ao haru ride chapters :) haven't read either yet... also new gintama! haven't got round to watching that yet though... I also am trying very hard not to have a fangirl rant about that shinsengumi anime I've been watching.. OMG. If you ever get back into anime again I would definitely recommend it. It's amazing. the first series was good but the second series has just been wow.. wow wow wow. lots of awesome sword fights, some cool hijikata scenes, and a whole lot of death/heartbreak, I watched an ep this morning where one of my fave characters basically sacrificed himself so he could stay true to being a warrior, it was very sad. not like its accurate or anything but basically seems like back in those days samurais were totally fearless about death, it was all about the warriors spirit etc. anyway its really good, but kind of sad because basically a lot of people die in it :( I guess that is more realistic but still, it's full of noooo! moments. I just hope the hijikata guy doesn't die in it, I have a bad feeling that could be where it ends up but I'm hoping not.

aw you should totally get with thane! I am a big fan of thaneXshepard, mostly as its essentially a doomed love (sob), and their scenes together are really nice; can't really explain why but you should do it!

thats interesting about tali, I'm sure you could find a pic of it on google images? would save you playing through as the douchey voiced male shepard ;)

yeh i quite like garras he's quite matey with shepard which is nice, he was deffo on our potential romance list when we played me2, can't remember why we went for thane in the end i think basically because i loved his whole tortured self thing and his sad backstorys he was basically my type of character haha but awww i am very sad about his whole dying thing i mean i know in me2 he tells you he had this disease or whatevs but i kinda thought it was just a future thing, anyway so shepard and than had a very sad conversation where basically she was asking him if he was in pain, how long he had left etc and aww it was just really sad like basically we asked him to join our crew and he turned us down as he said shepard needed the best and that wasn't him anymore and basically he didnt want to hold her back coz he's basically gonna die soon. i found it very :(((( and i kind of regret pairing them up as ive gotten attached to their relationship now and hes gonna die which is just tragic :((( oh well. i think if i was gonna have a yuri pairing or if i ever played thru as guy shepard i would go for jack in me2 for sure as she was great i loved her, such a fucking mentalist if she was a guy id be all :-O massively fangirling Hahaha

anyway so all we've really done is the mars and turian main missions, theres some summit we have to go to now but we're doing some side quests first :) i don't know how we got the choice of how to play thru me1 when we started me2 maybe there was just an option for it somewhere but i remember it being a quick text based run thru of the plot of me1 and at certain points we had to make choices and obvs we didnt have a clue what was what so we just randomly chose stuff haha i think we chose having a relationship with liria as we fancied something interesting i.e. female alien rather than male human lol

hey mate chan , do me and Pete have spent all day playing me3 haha. got garrus on side now and doing quite a few side quests so not that far in it plot wise. when we played me2 i remember us playing a run thru of the first game and we got to choose stuff, like who we romance and who we sacrificed. we chose liara to romance so in this game shes been all flirty and we tried to chat her up, but then got an email from thane that he was in the hospital - he's dying :( so we ended up shagging him haha aww but it was quite sad, he said to shepard 'we always knew it would come to end for us sometime' aww. i felt sad he's dying and we've probably killed off any other romances but ah well...

also a little mal tip if uve been losing msgs - i always copy my reply before i hit the reply button, that way if mal or my phone fuck up, i just reopen mal, click reply and paste the message back in. its become second nature to do that now and means no frustrating losing messages. i assume u can also copy text on the iphone ?

just a quick quick message to say started me3! and immediately renembered how much i loved me2! what a great opening :-O literally on the first mission just going to the mars archives. also when we loaded up our me2 character it summarized what we'd done in me2 and the choices we'd made in me1 (when we started playing me2) and apparently we saved that krogan dude :)

anyway just wanted to come on here and say that, playing me3 right now woo :)
