The thing with March is that it doesn't have a plot -- even with most slice of life nowadays, though it may focus on more mundane events, there's always an end goal or some kind of simplistic story (even if most of these stories are episodic in nature). Since it doesn't have this, it heavily relies on the characters and you creating attachments to them -- and if that doesn't happen it probably won't be the most enjoyable experience for some (but even if it isn't personally enjoyable for a person, I don't feel like that should be the sole determining factor in that show's scoring). There are quite a few shows where I myself did not enjoy them fully, but I still gave them a decent score -- because I judged their execution, characters, animation, etc. and not just my enjoyment level (although that undoubtedly had its influence). As I've said before, I can't change someone's enjoyment of a show, I can only hope to make them critique it on a "objective" level based on its qualities. I personally don't feel the show was dry at all, on the contrary I was thoroughly immersed with the characters -- but of course that is subjective as I've expressed before. At its core March is a show about Rei struggling with depression and that's why the show is slow, as it needs to express the subtlety of it in a respectable manner.

Ah that's great to hear, btw I fully understand that some shows really aren't everyone's taste, and I can see that definitely being the case for March Comes in Like a Lion -- that's why I don't hope to "change your opinion" on the show or anything drastic like that, I'd just like you to see the merits in the show and hopefully get a neutral stance on it instead of thinking that lowly of it.

I'd prefer to actually discuss the series with you, instead of you giving the typical "I don't care what you think" and "people have different opinions" (also the reason I claimed you liked action was because you said it in your own review)

I feel as though I was more than respectful in my comment -- I respect lots of people's opinions when it comes to disagreeing on shows, (when they give good reasons and actual major faults), but you don't do that. I guess you're just one of those close-minded people.

Usually I feel like anime should be judged on what it sets out to do. Even though you might not like the genre, as a slice of life March Comes in Like a Lion is brilliant -- Kiriyama's situation is supposed to be off putting, you're meant to have a sense of pity for the character... The way the visuals accompany this, along with the soundtrack are meant to be melancholic (and therefor slow for you action junkies). Giving it such a low score for the only real critique being it's slow, I don't think is that fair
