Ohey, a good Code Geass review you wrote there. Indeed it lacks in it's Sci-Fi aspect, but nonetheless, it's a very entertaining anime and doesn't disappoint as a thriller.
But I'd argue with one thing though. The art and animation is well done, considering it's a decade old anime.
And as for the character design, it was done by a well known group. They're known for creating rather peculiar characters.
