This is just not an ordinary review about the second season, id rather say its a conclusion i made after watching the second season. Im not going into deep details in here, just about my opinion on the characters and the story.
After the first season, i expected a change on the actions by Tsunemori. The Acceptance of the Sybil System in the first season and the behaviour that keeps on in the second season speak for themselves.
Tsunemori has accepted it, questioning the System might occur but its just halfhearted and will not lead her actions. Her actions are bound, bound to the character,
that is building contradictions in her decisions as well as some flaws that occur in the System.
She forfeited herself into that System Sybil.
On my review about the first season i have wrote something about the special people. This time, another type comes as the antagonist.
I want to keep my Review to the 2. Season a bit short, after such a disappointment.
the decisions that the main character Tsunemori made, cant be understood. Or maybe they can? Why? Is it because of her special Criminal Coefficient State that does not change? Would it change after she kills someone that is plotted in this second season?
Im pretty sure the Color will remain clear, more clear than the sky but i cant prove this pont. Just take it as my opinion about the character and how the author has designed her to be.
This character will lead this series to an ending, im pretty sure after another season or after some more the ending plotted from the beginning from the author will come.
After all, the series plots her for the new antagonist, Kamui.
A strict line that leads to the antagonist from the start. Not quite the expectation i had but ok, 11 episodes, must be the reason. Not that its a bad thing. The only bad thing that happened was the weak antagonist. Comparing him to the previos seasons antagonist doesnt work really. In this season, they again had the possibility to create an extremely strong antagonist but failed.
The last confrontation with the Sybil System also disappointed me.
--Might be considered light spoiler.--
Another contradiction, to judge groups, but to not judge yourself as a group. Just get rid of the dark ones... ok what ever.
On top of that we get delivered the usual tsunaomori behahior.
Well to conclude my thoughts.
Weak second season, weak character depth and the decisions of the main character, which i dont like, might as well say which i hate.
On normal circumstances i'd rate the series with a solid Fine (6) but im being selfish on all Psycho Pass ratings and ill go with a Poor(3) for the second season.
Also, after seeing the trailer for the movie, where the Humans now get Discriminated and Seperated by the system and are still shown to accept this, i assume that the next season the main character Tsunemori will be against that only half hearted, since she cant deal with the system in which she forfeited herself into.
Im assuming an ending where she tries to keep the system alive at any costs, ignoring the casualties. That would be my opinion on how the author will develop her.
