What do you get when you mix good production values, tons of fanservice, and a world with questionable physics, with a zombie apocalypse? You get Highschool of the Dead.

A show where suddenly zombies appear everywhere and manage to infect near everyone. A show where the main cast of teenagers have superhuman agility and strength, where every girl has double F boobs that jiggle at every opportunity. Where every shot involves a glimpse of panties as those girls make sure the zombies get scewered, chopped, beaten and shot into a bloody, gory mess.

It's a show that somehow manages to portray a serious R rated zombie apocalypse read more

Youjo Senki Movie picks off right where the anime series left off, and it's every bit as good, and in many ways even better than before.

If you haven't watched the anime, go do so now. I won't repeat my review in depth, but let's just say that production values have been cranked up even further, the solid story and characters remain, leading to an amazing visual and storytelling spectacle.

If military and magic anime is your thing, you MUST give this a watch.

Like seriously, it's good. Story is a direct continuation from the anime, the art and sound are absolutely mindblowing yet again, and the read more

Youjo Senki is a very unique, super high production value, magic military anime.

The story revolves around an extremely rational japanese salaryman who gets killed and then reincarnated by "god" into an alternate planets World War I. Thing is, he's reborn into the body of a girl who is abandoned. After growing up in an orphanage, it is discovered she holds great magic potential and is thus recruited into the military of the Empire, which is an alternate version of Germany.

Now, I know this sounds ridiculous and the artwork and previews you may have seen will appear absurd with a tiny girl being a read more

Blood+ (Anime) add (All reviews)
Blood+ is vampire anime with a solid mix of action and mystery.

However before you get into watching it, let me just warn you that unless you love a main character who is incredibly dumb, naive and a straight up wuss, you're better off watching something else.

Honestly, everything else this anime does great is dragged down by the incredibly unlikeable main character and even some of the supporting cast.

Saya is a main character with off the charts powers, but she decides it's better be a scared damsel in distress who gets manipulated by literally everybody because she's as naive as can be and without any read more

God Eater is a post-apocalyptic survival story, featuring the amazing art and animation, as well as a good soundtrack that you'd come to expect from an Ufotable production. And it goes beyond just animation, it's the whole direction that is on point. Scenes transition well, the "camera" focuses on the right things, pans the right way etc. It's a visual masterpiece.

Despite the anime being only 13 episodes long, I think they managed to do plenty with it. The story won't blow your mind, but it's quite serviceable. And the visual storytelling is top notch, with backstory exposition revealed bit by bit in colour faded flashbacks.

Darling in the FranXX is a futuristic mecha scifi coming of age story, featuring multiple romances.

It's a story of a group of isolated teenagers, raised for only one thing - to fight mechanical monsters threatening humankind which has huddled itself in mobile city fortresses in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

The teenagers have to come to grips with not only the harsh training and combat, where they and their partner (a boy and a girl) have to pilot a powerful mech, but also their emerging feelings as they all enter puberty and develop feelings for one another. Making things worse is their isolated and controlled upbringing which read more

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? is a character driven fantasy anime with a great soundtrack and high quality animations.

The story features a postapocalyptic world where humanity has been wiped out by terrible monsters. The last surviving human, frozen in ice, is recovered and eventually finds himself as a caretaker for a curious group of children that are used as living weapons by the anthropomorphic animals who now rule the remaining world on floating islands above the beast controlled wastelands.

It's an emotional story of coming to terms with the fate that awaits the children-like weapons. It's also a romance story of the oldest "weapon" desiring to read more

Zero no Tsukaima F in the final season of this anime series and to me, personally, it had worn out its welcome.

Solid sound and animation across the board, with some of the best fighting/action scenes in the series. However having to watch the same fickle relationship with the same tsundere girl for the 4th season in a row started to get on my nerves.

I get it that it's the core of the show, but come on. There's a limit as to how unbelievable you can make it and still get away with it. 4 seasons of romance, and Louise is still embarrassed over a kiss read more

Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu is the perverted lovechild of Overlord and Konosuba.

This is what you get when you take an "evil", overpowered protagonist of Overlord and the comedic setting of Konosuba, mix them together and sprinkle a bit of extra hentai flavour all over.

Falling ever so slightly short of either of its highly rated parents, How Not to Summon a Demon Lord is still a fun ride through-out. Animation and sound is solid industry strandard so there's little to complain about there.

It really boils down to not quite being up to par with Konosuba when it comes to comedy (though read more

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei is a futuristic shounen anime that features a mix of science and magic. Creating a rather interesting concept of a mixed genre.

The story revolves around two siblings enrolling at one of the biggest magical training schools in Japan where all people with magical potential are trained in various applications.
Through-out the season they get into all kinds of situations as they continue with their school life. With each episode more of their background is revealed and it becomes clear there's more to them than meets the eye.

The show has solid art and sound, with above average music.

Unfortunately the anime falls a read more
