Since I can't see but noticed you commented on his page, have you gone forward reading Rokka no Yuusha? I've done so as well following the anime's conclusion and am pleasantly surprised about the meticulousness of the author

I want to trust all of you that you will somehow in one way or another contribute to the club any time. I am not going to force you to do this but I would appreciate it. Im planning on reading Real really soon, but I want to finish everything else im reading first. Thats over a 100 chapters of Berserk, 150 chapters of Blade of The Immortal, 100 chapters Lone Wolf and Cub and 70 chapters of Kingdom.

As for Master Keaton, I'd say watching the anime is the better way to experience Master Keaton. I think the adaption is faithful, but the order of the stories is different (but I don't really think that matters in a purely episodic show). I also think that the voice actor fits Keaton's cheerful personality very well. The animations are decent and the OST has some really nice tracks. The only thing that might bother you is the video quality, I'm not sure if thats just my stream or if that is how it was released, but it looks kinda low quality. Im also not sure if the manga was fully translated so you'd have to go with the anime adaption anyways.

I thought exactly the same thing, that the second season wouldn't be as good as the first and that Yotarou could never replace Sukeroku, but they did a brilliant job with the second season aswell and Yotarou grows on you after a few episodes. I still have to say that I slightly prefer the first season solely for the historical setting (im a bit biased towards historical shows), but I couldn't ask for a better sequel, I'd say it is the best drama show anime has to offer.

We really share some shows in our favourites, and we might even share a few more in the near future. Im currently watching Monster and Major and im loving both of them. Im pretty sure that Monster will join my top 10 after I'm done with that, I've heard many great things about the show and most of my MAL friends with whom I have a high affinity have it in their top 10. Major has the potential to replace Slam Dunk from my top 10, it hasn't reached that point yet but each season has been getting better and better. I really like Gorou, he kinda reminds me of Joe in a few ways.

And after Monster/Major I'll watch Rose of Versailles/Ippo, they both look very promising. Also you should check out Master Keaton if you liked Monster, it's a Urasawa adaption aswell and was made by Madhouse and directed by the same Director. Its an episodic show about a guy who investigates insurance fraud for a company and who is interested in archeology and history, the episodes are really well written and take place in different locations all over the globe, and there is a lot of focus on small details just like in Monster. Keaton is a super likeable character, he's really friendly and often acts like a goof, but he has immense general knowledge and is skilled in lots of things. Its my second favourite episodic show after Mushishi.

Watch Ace wo Nerae! Another sports anime from the same director. It's really good so far.

Sounds good I admit, but I somehow believe I won't be reading it anytime soon. Like (I think) I said, I'm not really spending much time on manga... and whatever time I do spend, I use it getting myself updated with One Piece and Kingdom, or reading Oyasumi Punpun (this last one I read it with physical copies when I use the subway or am waiting for something, etc). The only things I'm actually reading on pc (and I haven't done it in a while) are One Piece and Kingdom.

But who knows... I'll be travelling soon to the US and Spain... and if that manga is licensed, I might find it at a store in one of those places... in which case I might buy it (in Chile, where I'm currently at, it's hard to find and when you do find, expensive).

While I'm not really looking for new manga to read (I barely read what I already have), I do appreciate the recommendation, I'll take it into account in the future. What is it about? The synopsis doesn't give much info.
Akai_Shuichi Jan 12, 2017 10:36 AM
I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It does have four freaking recap episodes one after the other (episodes 15-18), but other than that, it's a great anime.
Akai_Shuichi Jan 6, 2017 6:04 AM
I can't say I had that disappointment feeling because I already knew it had bad fame, so I kinda expected it to be bad.

Fune wo Amu is the final NoitaminA series I have remaining (I do have two movies pending though)... so far it's pretty good.
Akai_Shuichi Dec 31, 2016 1:54 PM
To be honest, I expected it to be horrible, to be the second coming of Glassleep, considering how hard it is to get an under 6.00 MAL score in a series... but it's not THAT bad.... that said, it's still kinda bad. Tries to be more than a baseball series (which is not bad per se), but it's not really good at it. The drama feels cheap and the main character feels like an edgy teenager when he's not even a teenager yet.

At least things are happening I guess (contrary to Glasslip) and I think visually it's relatively good, though that can't really save the series for being pretty mediocre at its very best.

The one and only reason I decided to watch Battery is because I'm currently completing a challenge which consists in watching everything from the NoitaminA block.
