Review might contain small spoilers/references. Watched this with the Italian sub. Also never played the game this is based on, so my review judges what I've seen animated and not if it follows the source material.

This show is a mixed bag in my opinion. First, if you dislike fully CGI anime (such as Ajin) this might not be for you. All the characters are done in CGI, it's not bad, but not really good either. Sometimes the movement, especially during walking or talking feels and looks weird. Backgrounds and action scenes are nicely made, car chases care also animated nicely in CGI.

Minor spoilers might follow. Picked this up to relax a bit after work and I was not wrong to do so despite its score and some punishing reviews. For example Corpse Party: Tortured Souls edges on the 7 and is much more dumber in my opinion and has much more gore for the sake of gore.

The story looks like a typical cheap Hollywood 90s horror movie, a bunch of students resurrect some zombies who happen to be cute and powerful and get in trouble for it. Would have liked a bit of suspense as to whom gets killed when but its no so, killings read more

Will contain very minor spoilers.

I started this show with high hopes and watched it every week although I rarely watch an airing show (hate cliffhangers) and was one of the guys that liked episode 1. Thought that it was necessary to move the show forward.

On all levels this has been a disappointment.

Characters act in ways that are not believable, they try to kill each other one moment, the next they're best friends because of plot, plot which get forgotten in the end. Not anything psychological here.

The art and hence the fights are boring. I have the feeling the art quality drops read more

I started this anime with high hopes judging by other reviews here and on other sites, ended up needing a mental floss in the end with a good anime.

This will contain spoilers as in my opinion, one can't show the flaws of the series without going into spoiler territory. Contains one spoiler for Madoka also and Yuuki Yuna.

What I liked about the show: The soundtrack by Yuki Kajiura and the voice acting.

What I didn't like about the show: Everything else.

The art is 1990s style, guess it worked in 2004, this can be overlooked today on old shows however.

Non spoiler review ahead. Going to be a short one. Started this series with high hopes and ended with dropping the second season (my first ever dropped series so far).

The art is amazing and a pleasure to watch especially in HD on a large screen, so is the sound, very fitting with the scenes at times. Some comedic aspects are nice, the voice acting (japanese) is amazing and of high quality and professionalism.

Apart from this, the story is confusing, many things are not explained, the plot is non existent. I tried to understand the series, I mean I did understand symbolism in Madoka, read more

This review does not contain spoilers but it will cover all the stories that is Washio Sumi arc, Yuuki Yuna Hero arc and sequel.

Many have compared it to Madoka, but I think this is more a Bokurano and Neon Genesis Evangelion combination(was lucky to decide to see the original Evangelion prior to YuYu). Basically we have chosen girls to become magical girls instead of persons piloting the mechas. The enemies are the Vertex (lets call them The Vertex, could be Vertices also, not a native English speaker). The Vertex are similar to the Angels in Evangelion.

The characters and interactions are complex up to read more

This anime is a great watch, for me it brought up a lot of feels from first love and how it affects your life to preparation for exams and graduation.
Art is great and tends to improve towards the last episodes. Character design is also great and characters act naturally when faced with different life choices .

However where the story lacks, is the time frame chosen for it. Had it been chosen at the end of hischool with graduation and university admission, it would have been more believable. Also it's a story of first love however it should have stopped before the end credits scene. read more

This movie has been an emotional ride for me and I greatly enjoyed it. The art and sound are good but where it really shines is in the story telling and character development.

The characters look believable when faced with the different situations. Plot is good and tragic, also who would believe that roughly 3 years later after the movie was screened, tragedy would strike Japan for real.
The portrayal of the earthquake, its aftermath and the subsequent aftershocks is very well done. You kind of feel the terror of the aftershocks, never knowing when they will strike, if the building you are read more

Generally spoiler free review, might contain a reference or two about certain events.

This is a discussion on both arcs, Future and Despair, they are meant to be watched together. I have not played any of the games, and don’t plan to since I’ve given up gaming a long time ago, therefore I’m not going to make any parallels.

Both shows are dark, while Despair progressively becomes darker with each episode, Future is dark from the very first minute of the first episode. The art style is similar, pink blood in some scenes, red blood in others, you get used to the pink blood and read more

I started watching this show expecting an abstract psychological ride and in the end it did deliver that, one could even add wild to abstract psychological. The story is very interesting, however you need to watch with an open mind and very carefully to get to understand the symbolism. Probably in the end you will understand most about the characters personalities and their motives, but the symbolism will leave you wandering.

Symbolism is pretty heavy in this show, refers to Japanese culture and literature and also to Greek literature so it is going to be hard to grasp. This is my main issue read more
