Once I was a big sci-fi fan, but then I ran out of great shows, so I looked back at childhood anime-stuff then began my journey in Japan's art.
First anime I've seen was Inuyasha, probably (I'm not sure, because it was aired at the same time with Pokemon). That time I thought it was just a cartoon as others /oh what a fool...
I started watching anime ~2010 (Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Panic!, FMA, etc), but somehow I dropped that habit.
Then I found Space Battleship Yamato Live Action on 9gag (2014 summer), watched it, got pumped up for more details and bumm, here I am, watched dozens and dozens of great shows.
Some milestones I had along the way here:
First anime I shed tears to: Elfen Lied.
First anime I really cried to: Angel Beats or Code Geass, i couldn't decide which was more emotional. /Yeah, a 21 YO male "beast" can cry too.
First (and best) romance I've seen: Spice and Wolf
Fist sci-fi I anime I watched: Blue Gender
First romance/school/comedy/drama i finished : Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
First anime I dropped = Chaos;Head /and i won't watch even if the world's fate depends on it
The most under appreciated anime on my list: Hakaima Sadamitsu
The longest anime I watched: Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Legend of the Galactic Heroes)
And a confession here: as a boy I didn't like the Tsubasa series, nor Bayblade, YouGiOh, and so on...
Favorite Genres : Drama , sci-fi , and action, but a good anime is good regardless of genre.
About my rating: I rate about the enjoyment the anime gave me that time, so the ratings could be weird sometimes, but worry not my fellow MAL comrades, when I watch them again, that's when the true score borns (so I edit them sometimes).
