Short chibi animations about the adventures of Serval and Mirai meeting Friends. Usually they are the same Friends that were in the main series, but in addition there are some new species, and even some extinct ones. Mostly done with 2D animation, but it's like semi-3D, or 2,5D, so it's not that clear if this is done in CGI or not. This whole series is from a person's/viewer's perspective, as he/she interacts with the others, and even sometimes helps them.

Short CGI animations, about different groups (usually a duo) of Friends interacting with each other. The Friends are mostly new acquaintances, that we haven't seen before.
These are done at a bit lower quality than the main series, as you can see lots of jagged lines around the characters and objects, also the movements are stiffer. Everything else was just ok. As a notice, MAL lists these as 1 min. per episode, but in reality every episode varies in length, ranging from 1:04 to 2:30, so I think it would be more accurate to say that these are 2 min. per episode.

This review is purely from an anime only watcher's viewpoint.
First, I'm going to say that I mostly rate anime based on the enjoyment value, and everything else comes far in the second place. Slow, moody, and dialogue heavy shows like these are not usually my thing, and because of that I judge them harshly. If you have a more of a critical/analytical eye to entertainment, take everything I say with a grain of salt.
If I described this anime in one color, it would be "gray". In addition to the art's murky color scheme and the overall somber mood of the anime itself, the characters just

feel lifeless and dull, especially Izumi. Everyone feels like they are constantly depressed, uninterested, and they have a lack of enthusiasm for anything.
There are no bright colors, or anything that pops, stands out at all, the soundtrack is mostly nonexistent, or it's slow, moody type of music. OP and ED songs are fine, but nothing memorable or catchy. Except for the couple of times they play baseball, all they do is sit, talk and/or walk around, so there isn't a lot of action in the animation department either.
There were actually a couple of hilarious moments, like when the Photography Club members were goofing off, or when Natsume got off on the wrong train stop. I also liked that every character were distinct from each other, so it was easy to follow the narrative and to not confuse them between each other. I want also add to that it was easy to follow the story and the plot itself, because there weren't any out of place jump cuts, sudden location changes, or any weird artsy stuff/editing. Voice acting was also good, but nothing exceptional.
On the story department, I didn't think this was anything extraordinary, or something I haven't seen before. In my opinion, you shouldn't go watching this with the intention to find a heartwarming, dramatic love story that would make you cry, or emotional. If you think about the character, and relationship progression from the beginning state, compared to the end, there were none, or a very little amount of it overall.
My score reflects what I said in the beginning, "gray". If "white" was 5 (Average), then "gray" would be one shade below it, 4 (Bad). Honestly, this was tiresome to watch from beginning to end, and I had one of the worst feelings after watching an anime that you can have, I thought it was a waste of my time. If I were realistic, I would give it a "Mixed Feelings", but I don't want to be indecisive, that's why I rate it as "Not Recommended". Thank you for reading until the end.

I've not read the manga, so this review is purely from an anime watchers viewpoint.
The short version of the premise is that Prince Christopher asks Bibliophile Elianna's hand in marriage. Elianna's, and Prince Christopher's engagement starts then as purely platonic. The reason that Elianna accepted Christopher's marriage proposal, is only because she is then granted the use of the Royal Palace's archives. Eventually, Elianna begins to form real feelings of love toward Christopher.
It's a somewhat vanilla romance anime, and a bit bland. There's no great overarching plot, it's more of a light-hearted, slice-of-life character driven show. Elianna herself is the most interesting character of the

series. She is actually very intellectual and a goodhearted girl. Also, the chemistry between Elianna and Christopher is sweet, and you want to cheer them both on, especially Elianna.
OP and ED songs are nothing memorable or catchy, but they are still fine. Art in the show is very lightly colored and bright, and the characters blend in the backgrounds in indoor scenes. Voice acting and animation is your standard fare, nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Don't know if it's a compliment or not, but it is easily the best romance anime of the 2022 fall season in my opinion. If you're looking a good romance anime to watch from this season, this is one of the best choices. Thank you for reading until the end.

For starters, I'm from Finland myself, so the review is a little biased, and just to mention that this is the only anime to date to be based entirely on Finland. I would recommend this anime for anyone looking for a mostly light-hearted show with a bit of drama, and with a sweet, likable protagonist. If you're interested in Finland, or are a Finnish person, this is a must-watch.
In a WW1 era Finland, Katri herds cows with her trusty and clever dachshund, Aapeli/Abel, at a neighboring farm in the countryside to earn a living for her grandparents during troubling times. She meets new friends and

all kinds of different people, and different situations while she is working and living day-to-day. Most of the time, nothing exciting happens, and it's just conversations between characters. Sometimes there is trouble, and Katri suffers some hardship from time to time.
This anime is basically comprised of two parts, where Katri works in two different households, in two different environments, learning different things. She faces many types of problems in both places, but one thing that is constant, is that most people around her underestimate her, are spiteful towards her, and belittle her. She proves them wrong, and they usually change their opinion of her, after they learn that Katri is an honest, diligent worker, and a sweet girl with a heart of gold.
This has many educational things about Finland, and they are accurate. Also, this has actually a good depiction of Finland, and almost everything is presented correctly. I was actually shocked that everything written in the show in Finnish is done right, and there are only a couple typos that I noticed. Typically, anime especially from the 70s-80s, don't even get English correctly most of the time, so I feel that they must've had someone whose Finnish, or who knew Finnish language help them.
Both the opening and ending songs are great and memorable, but the soundtrack itself mostly consists of only one song Finlandia-hymn, and many variations of it. The song itself isn't bad, but it plays almost constantly, and felt like it's the only song they play. Art and animation is still good and watchable today, there are certain animations they repeat, especially the background when moving fast. Voice acting is great, and I was surprised to know that Furuya Toru is here as he is famous for many great characters today, such as Amuro Tooru in Detective Conan, Yamcha in DBZ, and as Sabo in One Piece.
I enjoyed this show and found it very entertaining, even in the year 2022. If you liked any other World Masterpiece Theatre anime, or you generally like anime from the 80s, you can't go wrong here.

This is my first time attempting to review anything, and I thought I might as well write a review, because I was surprised there were no entries or any reviews for this short two part special.
The specials are very well animated in the same style as the main anime, and for short specials they look and sound really great. Specials are made of two parts, first there are the 1-minute long episodes from the POV of a person on-board the Ryvius and the second part consists of 3-minute long episodes adding to the backstories of other characters from the show.

high quality of these specials, but because of their shortness, you can't really get anything in-depth from them. You should watch this if you enjoyed the main show, they add some backstory to the show's characters.
