This was really a disgrace, I honestly do not want to make a review for this but considering the previous version of Garo made my top 10 anime the season it aired I felt the excessive need to write a review on this horrible alternate version of Garo. This will honestly be a slight comparison of how this anime failed to compared to it's previous version.

Garo: Honoo no Kokuin is the first story told, Garo: Guren no Tsuki is an alternate universe with completely different characters with the only similarities being the casual villains and the means of defeating them.

I really wanted to like this show, I really did. There are a lot of problems here and things that make me uncomfortable. I give most shows decent scores even if it had a lot of problems but Sakurako is something else entirely. I guess i'll explain.

Characters 2:

There are only two characters that are important, or maybe it's only one character that is important at all. Anyways, the 'heroine' the show is named after, Sakurako Kujou, is an Osteologist, meaning she studies and collects bones. She is obsessed with finding corpses of animals and humans so that she can add their bones to read more

Dance with Devils caught me by surprise. I typically prefer stories with characters being the main focus of the show, how they develop and how they deal with the problems presented to them. Although, I've always had a soft spot for reverse harems ever since I watched Amnesia. As I picked up this show, I expected it to be just like any other reverse harem where 4 or 5 men fall in love with the same girl who so happen to all know each other. Dance with Devils isn't as simple as that. There is a reason why everyone is 'after her' and there is read more

I'll keep this very brief.

Bible Black is a show that requires your undivided attention, missing the smallest of details can change how you view it. I don’t blame you for not liking it. It is a metaphysical journey that’s more about exploring its concepts than anything. It isn’t meant to be taken at face value and demands you to pay attention to understand it. It’s a show that touches upon the human condition and finding one’s purpose in life. I suggest watching lesser complicated shows before trying to tackle Bible Black again. Bible Black is an anime made for people who understand philosophy and also read more

So, it seems that this anime was a hit more miss with most, who watched. I personally enjoyed the show thoroughly from beginning to end. What seems to be the "problem" that most people point out is that the characters are unrealistic or that they are just idiots trying to act smart but I didn't see it that way at all. Agree or disagree I will give you my 2 cents about this series.

I will start with first with the Characters.

If you don't like 'different/perfect' characters, you won't enjoy the show.

Our lead protagonist Saikawa is a professor at a college but his personality is anything read more

As children most of us watched Dragonball Z. Goku and his friends taking on enemies with the power that could destroy an entire planet on accident. Only problem is that Toei, masters of wasting time, knew how to drag out the series and at certain points it felt like Goku would charge an attack for an entire 12 episodes. Now with all the excess time cut out of the series and all non-canon arcs removed you now have Dragon Ball Kai. Although I watched parts of DBZ on tv as a child I remembered minor details of how everything went down. I went into Dragon read more

School Days is what would happen if your average harem lead actually capitalized on the fact that he had a harem. An unbelievably fantastic show that does exactly what it is meant to do, make you uncomfortable. Of course when people watch an anime, or any show for that matter they watch it not to feel uncomfortable. So I can understand the reasoning behind the score to an extent. This is actually not a very good review.

Story: The base story is very realistic, it's about a your average high school boy who gets away with cheating one time. Now we all know how high school read more

I'll start this review with a question. Can a show be considered a great show if the ending is already presented to you early on in the show? The simple answer, Yes. The complex answer, It depends on how the story is built. Plastic Memories was a fairly good show that I do no regret watching, although I wouldn't consider it a "great" show. I'll explain. (Minor Spoilers)

Story: 5 (Mediocre)

The story follows main protagonist Tsukasa Mizugaki who works at a "terminal service". In this setting there are Androids that feature realistic human qualities called "Giftia". These "Giftia" have a life span of 9 read more

I will refrain from spoilers in this review

Garo, has turned into one of my favorite anime at the moment. The story follows a young Makai Knight named Leon, and his father German who is also a Makai Knight. Makai Knights have a job to play and that is to kill the "Horrors", which are people who have been possessed by dark spirits, that threaten the every day lives of humans. Leon, the Main Character of the series, is a Makai Knight who still hasn't fully matured. He is learning what it means to truly be a Makai knight, with his father as his teacher.

This will be my review for 'Shinsekai Yori' (SSY for short). I want to start by making a few statements to give you an idea of where I am coming from. First, I finished this anime within 24 hours of this review. I was told that this show was unlike any other and that the ending is outstanding. Lastly, I hate this anime with a deep passion, but I think this is an incredible anime without a doubt. Now I will try to convey my feelings towards this show and why I don't think it deserves the right to be called anything near a "masterpiece". read more
