"You either die stiff or live long enough to see yourself go soft." - The Dark Knight

Upon reading Rapeman’s synopsis, I became quite amused. The notion of using rape as a weapon to bring about justice is a crazy one—it’s also quite a unique one. As a result, I expected this manga to be both innovative and absurd. Fortunately for this reader, both expectations were met.

Let’s start with the hero of this story: a pusillanimous teacher by day who becomes an enigmatic rapist by night. As unique as he may seem, he’s actually not that different from other superheroes. Consider some of the individuals he read more

After years of indulging in hentai, I thought I had seen it all. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Dr. Ogekuri, assisted by nurse Tatase, runs a strange kind of clinic. Men and women from all over the country go to this clinic in order to resolve their issues. Sometimes it’s a fetish, sometimes it’s impotency, and sometimes it’s something else. Whatever it is, it’s always sexual. Don’t be fooled though; this isn’t another run-of-the-mill porno. Few works of pornography have reached the level of craziness this manga has. And even less have provided me with as many laughs.

Ogenki Clinic is very unpredictable. It makes the read more

Hentai—whether you’re a high school student, an adult, or an old creepy guy, chances are that you’ve seen at least one anime that falls under this genre at some point in your life. It’s a genre that tends to have one or more of the following: a lack of plot, zero character development, strong sexuality, and extreme levels of bizarreness. Despite these various flaws, the genre still receives a decent number of viewers, fans even. Is that really surprising though? After all, porn is porn. The typical hentai viewer doesn’t give a damn if what he’s watching is good or not; as long as he read more

Why do you watch hentai? Is it to satisfy your hedonistic needs or is it for a different, less conspicuous reason? As for me, I watch hentai because I'm searching for something. Hentai is a genre without limits. What I'm searching for is an anime that takes advantage of this in order to make the humor as extreme as possible. If a piece of anime pornography pulled this off, it could potentially be, for a lack of better words, the funniest thing ever.

As my search progressed, I noticed something. The majority of the hentai I found simply failed to provide me with any enjoyment. I read more

The one-handed warrior—truly a beast to be feared. It is the alter ego man assumes in the face of frustration. It is the both the salvation and blight of human existence. It is an ethereal, hedonistic being whose weapon is his right hand, whose body is like a well oiled machine, and whose energy comes from a rod-like instrument in his pants.

This rod-like instrument comes in many shapes and size, but its most common appearance is one that is sharp and long. What is it? Well, I can tell you what it's not: The spear they used to kill Jesus. This instrument of mystery also read more

Before I begin, I'd like to bring up the words of a great president. Thomas Jefferson once wrote of rebellion that "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." This isn't pertinent to the review you're about to read in any way whatsoever; I merely wanted you to go into it thinking I'm intelligent. Because I am, of course. Just continue reading. Please.

DreamNote is a tale of greed, revenge, and redemption—or at least I'd like to say it is. In reality, it's about a home tutor named Masaya who isn't doing his job properly. Instead read more

Ever since I saw Iron Man back in 2008, I've been keen on cutting a hole in my chest into which I'll plant a large electromagnet in the hopes of gaining superior intellect and eventually becoming a facsimile of Tony Stark.

Oppai no Ouja 48 is about a boy. No, no. A man. A man who, like me, dreams of the impossible. His dream, unlike mine, comes from his obsession with breasts. So strong is his obsession that he wants to achieve the ultimate harem and eventually become the king of breasts. I know, I know. You're probably wondering why he would want to do that read more

For many of us, happiness is an emotion we feel very often in our lives. It's undeniably a very important emotion. It's so important that you could say this is the emotion that keeps us alive. How does one define happiness though? Konnichiwa Anne is the first anime I've seen to attempt to answer this question.

Konnichiwa Anne is about a young girl called Anne Shirley who’s trying to find happiness in life. She’s an orphan who's been adopted by a family where no one really gets along. She doesn't let either of these two things get her down though. Out of all the characters I’ve read more
