I love anime. I never grew up watching it as a kid, and yet I found it in my teenage years. For the past year, I've actually properly integrated it into my life. It has had a dramatic impact on my life.
Thanks to Your Lie in April, I've started going to Classical music concerts out of the blue, and even started learning piano. It also introduced me to the genius of Chopin. Before I'd never even given those things a second of thought.
Violet Evergarden and A Silent Voice really opened my eyes to how anime can depict something so beautiful and poetic that no other media can do. For this reason, it will always be close to my heart. Forever.
And of course it introduced me to Japanese culture. I love Japan. If there was anywhere in the world I'd rather be, it would be there. I even have proper Matcha tea every morning, and plan to get into more culinary endeavors.
