ykw yeah you're right on the review thing, you mean *those* kind of reviews. like the anime equivalent of when people say pixel art in games is bad graphics it's extremely irritating, i always hope people like that can grow out of that mind set one day

anyone can review and have a good point eventually but not everyone should kind of ordeal.

i feel that, i personally like what every generation offers at times. stylized 3D can be some of the most fun visuals pulled off right, while Cel animation just hits differently. but you also don't have mecha or high fantasy anime as common anymore either.

that review bit is interesting because on one end i like to hear the opinions of people who don't watch anime give their thoughts - anyone can have valid opinions, but it more comes down to if they can articulate their thoughts well. frontpage reviews make major impact and people happen to focus on the negatives first. the problem i've always felt the culture on reviewing is completely different between animanga and things like live action works, the audience for the latter is so broad you kind of see a lot of "7/10 worst show i ever saw" since a generalized reviewing system isn't going to be as common. but the odd moment when some random guy makes a damn good point is kind of legendary
