Toriumi Hisayuki, born July 9, 1941 in Aizuwakamatsu, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, was a creator of several anime and manga series. He is credited in some sources as Eiko Toriumi.

Hisayuki Toriumi was a Japanese Director most well known for the directing the television programme Science Ninja Team Gatchaman. He cut his teeth working on Gatchaman and several other Tatsunoko Production series of the 1970s, but broke away from Tatsunoko in 1979 to become one of the founding members of Studio Pierrot, where he worked on series such as The Wonderful Adventures of Nils and Mysterious Cities of Gold. In his later years he retired from the animation business to become a freelance novelist.

He passed away due to a cardiac failure on January 23, 2009, at the age of 67.
