(Here was me thinking I was going to find there was a manga of Coraline or something awesome like that, no such luck, although his credit here is awesome in itself of course~).

Purists dismissed his work on PRINCESS MONONKOE as a "dumbed-down" work that compromises a complex, thought-provoking tale. I seriously wonder where on Earth those people are coming from, because his efforts on MONONOKE's English script are incredible. He spent two years writing the script to rework it into natural sounding dialogue, and whatever liberties are taken are never out of disrespect. Seriously put, this is a guy that deserves better credit for his work on this film than he often gets. The man is a master at writing. (See CORALINE for another reference of great storytelling by this man.)
