He started playing piano from age 3 and trombone from age 12, to study the latter in France from age 18. After graduating from the Conservatoire de Saint-Etienne, he studied at the Conservatoire de Lyon. Besides being active in orchestral and chamber music, he also participated in clubs and events vigorously and also in performance and composition. After returning to Japan he started composing music for games and commercials. He has been a part-time lecturer at Takushoku University since September 2011.
